First‑Person Combat
Combat is presented from a first‑person perspective, requiring players to aim, track, and strike enemies directly. A variety of close‑combat weapons feature unique attack patterns that must be learned.
Strikes to the head or back do critical damage, rewarding precise targeting and timing. Mastery of weapon handling provides a decisive edge in the harsh environment.
- Practice weapon patterns in safe areas before engaging tougher foes.
- Aim for head or back shots to maximize damage.

Old Magic System
Magic is described as powerful but unwieldy, requiring long incantations, special skills, and appropriate channeling equipment. Spells must be timed and aimed for maximum effect.
Players who do not focus on magic can compensate through tinkering, equipment knowledge, and foresight, allowing non‑magical characters to remain competitive.
- Equip items that improve spell channeling for reliability.
- Practice timing spells against low‑risk enemies to gauge effectiveness.

Using Darkness
The ever‑expanding darkness can be turned to the player’s advantage. Turning off lights lets you hide from foes or set up ambushes, and blending into shadows enables stealthy retreats when battles turn sour.
Strategic use of darkness can shift the tide of encounters, allowing players to avoid direct conflict or escape dangerous situations.
- Disable lights in high‑risk zones to stay concealed.
- Use darkness to reposition before re‑engaging enemies.
