Arcade Modes
Original Mode faithfully recreates the arcade campaign’s branching levels. Original EX raises the difficulty for players seeking extra challenge. Chronicle Mode adds over 3000 stages that unlock globally as other cabinet players free worlds, letting you access new areas automatically. These modes together provide the richest Darius content to date. Each mode can be played solo, and the shared‑cabinet system ensures progress is reflected across players in the same virtual cabinet.
- Focus on clearing worlds early to unlock stages for all cabinet members.
- Try Original EX after mastering Original to gauge difficulty spikes.

Chronicle Saviours Story Mode
CS Mode offers a single‑player story spanning the entire DARIUS timeline with more than 200 stages. Players can choose from nine ships, including classic Silver Hawk variants and a CS‑exclusive vessel. Some ships emphasize Burst weapons, others base firepower, letting you match playstyle to challenges. The mode revisits classic ships, music, and introduces new bosses. The story mode is designed for solo play and showcases the series’ history in a cohesive campaign.
- Experiment with different ships to find the Burst or firepower style you prefer.
- Listen to the Zuntata soundtrack on high volume for full immersion.

Local Co‑op
Up to four players can team up locally, sharing power‑ups and combining Burst weapons for unique effects. The co‑op experience uses split‑screen mechanics that let each player control their own ship while benefiting from shared resources. This mode works on both single‑monitor and dual‑monitor setups, adapting to the chosen resolution. Co‑op play adds strategic depth as players coordinate ship strengths and power‑up distribution.
- Coordinate Burst combos early to maximize damage against large bosses.
- Share power‑ups with teammates who have weaker base firepower.

Resolution and Aspect Ratio
The game supports 16:9 and 32:9 aspect ratios, reaching up to 3440 × 1440 on single screens. AC Mode can use dual monitors for a 32:9 display, extending to 6880 × 1440. On single screens, the 32:9 view is letterboxed to keep the original look. CS Mode is optimized for single‑monitor displays, delivering a larger picture without dual‑screen requirements. These settings let players tailor visual fidelity to their hardware while preserving the classic arcade feel.
- Use dual monitors for AC Mode if you have a 32:9 setup to see the full field.
- Select the single‑monitor option for CS Mode to avoid letterboxing.
