About Dangerous Mountain Together

Dangerous Mountain Together is a physics‑based driving game where 2‑4 players are tethered by a rope while navigating extremely narrow roads. The shared rope means every move affects the whole squad, and a single slip can send everyone tumbling.

The game features three distinct biomes—Grasslands, Snowy Peaks, and Swamp—each adding its own hazards, from slippery snow to exploding Tikis. Players can dress their cars with humorous cosmetics, but the core challenge remains reaching the summit without everyone crashing.

01 / THE GUIDE

Tethered Multiplayer

All players are physically linked by a rope, so the group moves as a single unit. If one driver falls off a cliff, the others are pulled down unless they intervene. The "Save Me" winch lets a player rescue a fallen teammate by pulling them back up, preventing a total squad plunge.

  • Communicate constantly about upcoming turns to avoid unexpected drops.
  • Assign one player to monitor the winch button for quick rescues.

Wobbly Physics

Cars do not drive smoothly; they bounce, tilt, and slide across the thin roads. The physics are described as "controlled" driving, but the vehicles often behave unpredictably. This instability forces players to constantly adjust throttle and steering to stay on the path.

  • Apply gentle inputs rather than sudden accelerations.
  • Practice small corrections to keep the car balanced.

Biome Challenges

Three biomes test players differently. Grasslands are labeled the "easy" part, though they remain challenging. Snowy Peaks remove traction, making sliding mandatory. Swamp introduces slimes, exploding Tikis, and murky water that disrupt momentum. Each biome requires players to adapt their driving style to survive its specific hazards.

  • Slow down in Snowy Peaks to manage inevitable slides.
  • Avoid the swamp’s slime patches to keep momentum.

Cosmetic Customization

Players can personalize their vehicles with funny cosmetics that change the car’s appearance. These cosmetics let players look stylish during repeated crashes. Customization gives each car its own distinct look.

  • Choose a bright skin to easily spot your car among chaos.
  • Mix and match cosmetics for a unique group aesthetic.

Platform Features

The game runs on Windows and supports online, LAN, and shared/split‑screen co‑op. Additional features include Steam Achievements, Camera Comfort, Adjustable Difficulty, and Steam Cloud support. Family Sharing is also available, allowing multiple accounts to access the same purchase.

  • Enable Camera Comfort if the rope view feels disorienting.
  • Use Adjustable Difficulty to match your group’s skill level.
