About Dagger Directive
Dagger Directive puts you in Task Force Dagger, an elite international special forces unit. Missions span frozen coasts, jungles and war‑torn cities, letting you pick loadouts, time of day and tactical approach. The game offers three full campaigns—Bering Sea, South Pacific and Eastern Europe—each with its own enemies and challenges.
Early Access already delivers a 15‑mission campaign, co‑op multiplayer, over 25 weapons with attachments, drones, mines and grenades. Future updates promise a Steam Workshop‑enabled mission editor, deeper tutorials and a Free Play mode for sandbox experimentation.
01 / THE GUIDE
Campaign Structure
Three distinct regions form the backbone of Dagger Directive’s campaigns: the icy Bering Sea, the volatile South Pacific and conflict‑riddled Eastern Europe. Each region presents its own atmosphere, enemy types and tactical challenges, encouraging varied strategies.
Missions are set in large open areas with multiple entry points, dense foliage and verticality. Players can manipulate the environment—shooting lights, using grass cover or stalking shadows—to shape the flow of each operation.
- Experiment with different entry points to discover less‑guarded routes.
- Use environmental controls like lighting to create visual advantages.

Weapon Customization
The armory contains more than 25 weapons, each supporting a wide range of attachments such as under‑barrel shotguns, suppressors and long‑range scopes. Customization lets you tailor firepower to your preferred playstyle, whether breaching, close‑quarters or long‑range engagements.
Attachments affect how you engage targets: suppressed SMGs aid stealth, while extreme‑range scopes help with lead and distance calculations. The system encourages mixing and matching to suit each mission’s demands.
- Pair suppressors with SMGs for quieter infiltration.
- Add under‑barrel shotguns to rifles for door‑breaching flexibility.

Tactical Equipment
Beyond firearms, players can deploy drones, tripwires, grenades and mines. These tools add layers of strategic depth, allowing you to scout, deny areas or create lethal traps for enemies.
Grenades scatter fragments that obey real physics, and drones provide aerial reconnaissance. The variety of gear supports multiple tactical approaches, from aggressive assaults to silent infiltration.
- Use drones to scout enemy positions before committing.
- Place mines in choke points to control enemy movement.

Physics and Ballistics
Every bullet and shrapnel piece has weight, velocity and trajectory simulated in real time. Players must adjust scopes for distance, lead moving targets and account for ricochets, making precision essential.
Grenade fragments also follow realistic physics, meaning blast patterns can be predicted and used to your advantage. This system discourages “spray and pray” tactics in favor of calculated shots.
- Practice leading moving targets to improve hit consistency.
- Observe ricochet angles to exploit enemy cover.

Multiplayer Co‑op
Full co‑op multiplayer lets squads coordinate, flank and execute missions together. Squads can take on missions together, expanding tactical possibilities.
Co‑op play integrates the same weapon and equipment systems, so teams can specialize roles—such as a breacher, scout or long‑range sniper—to complement each other’s strengths.
- Assign distinct roles to teammates for balanced squad composition.
- Communicate entry points to avoid overlapping paths.
