About Cyber Knights: Flashpoint

Cyber Knights: Flashpoint combines squad tactics, stealth and relationships within a cyberpunk underworld. Movement is not restricted to a grid, and encounters involve cover, overwatch and changes to initiative. Environmental collapse has left 112 surviving cities sheltered by domes or mountains, while powerful corporations and advanced technology shape society.

Between operations, you choose jobs, develop contacts and consider the attention your activities attract. Talent development, over 40 multiclass combinations, modified weapons and safehouse improvements support crew building. A reactive storytelling system draws on the people in your squad and their experiences to create different campaigns.

01 / THE GUIDE

Combat System

Individual enemies make their own decisions, creating possibilities for distractions, isolated engagements or avoiding a fight with technology. Cover, overwatch and initiative are tools to consider alongside your crew's abilities and equipment.

Open combat can escalate, so think about your objective as well as the immediate threat. Coordinating the team and maintaining room to move are useful priorities when comparing a quiet approach with a more direct confrontation.

  • Consider cover, overwatch and the mission objective together when planning a move.
  • Start missions quietly to keep escalation low.

02 / THE GUIDE

Reputation & Heat

A job is more than a tactical encounter: it contributes to your reputation and can attract heat. Contacts provide another part of preparation, with favors and bribes among the ways to secure an advantage. Crew legwork and planning also matter during operations with several stages.

Employers, rivals and other underworld figures respond to your choices of work and allegiance. Helping, disappointing or betraying these people can change later opportunities. Keep those relationships in mind rather than judging every job only by its immediate appeal.

  • Consider the heat associated with a prospective job before adding it to your plans.
  • Cultivate several contacts to broaden the favors you can call upon.

03 / THE GUIDE

Talent Trees & Multiclass

Talent trees and more than 40 multiclass combinations offer a wide range of ways to develop your crew. Weapon modification adds another dimension when considering how a character will contribute to an operation.

Character traits also evolve, and the storytelling system considers squad members' experiences. Treat crew development as both a tactical decision and part of the campaign's unfolding narrative, without assuming a particular talent produces a specific dialogue outcome.

  • Plan a core combat role first, then add niche abilities that complement it.
  • Review talent synergies before committing points to ensure they support your intended playstyle.

04 / THE GUIDE

Visual Customization

Appearance options cover clothing, hairstyles, facial features, eyes, tattoos and accessories, with colors and names providing further ways to distinguish characters. These choices let you give the squad a consistent theme or make each member visually different.

Safehouse upgrades are another listed development feature. Keep that separate from cosmetic character choices: the description advertises both, without detailing a particular visual customization system for the base.

  • Use distinct color schemes to identify squad roles quickly in combat.
  • Match outfit themes to faction affiliations for clearer roleplay cues.

05 / THE GUIDE

Story Engine & Squad Evolution

The developers call their narrative system the Casting Director. It considers decisions, injuries, interactions and which missions characters took part in, then uses that information when assigning people to events and storylines.

As a result, the same broad narrative role need not belong to the same person in every campaign. Returning with another squad offers a way to explore how the game's character-driven storytelling changes.

  • Note injuries and important interactions, since they are inputs to the storytelling system.
  • Experiment with different crew mixes to see how the story adapts.

    Cyber Knights: Flashpoint FAQ

    Does the game support controllers?

Yes, the Steam listing lists full controller support, including DualShock and DualSense controller support.

Will future updates erase my saved progress?

The developers' stated policy is to keep existing saves usable after updates and bring new additions into ongoing campaigns. They identify new-game-only options as an exception, rather than requiring everyone to begin again.

Does the Steam listing advertise adjustable difficulty?

Yes. Adjustable difficulty is included among the listed features; that label does not specify when changes can be made.
