About Cryptid Farm
Cryptid Farm blends a calm farming routine with a horror backdrop. Players tend a shared plot, planting, watering, harvesting eight distinct crops, and refilling the watering can at field corners. Harvest profits fund upgrades that expand the farm and move the group toward escape.
The experience supports solo play or online co‑op for up to sixteen players, all connected through Photon Cloud. Unpredictable creatures roam the land, each hunting in its own way, so players must stay alert while managing their crops.
01 / THE GUIDE
Core Farming Loop
Each cycle begins with planting seeds, then watering the rows. After watering, the can must be refilled at one of the field’s corners before returning to the crops, creating a repeatable rhythm each day.
When crops mature, they are harvested for money. That money is spent on upgrades that let the farm grow larger, which in turn allows more planting space and higher potential earnings.
- Observe which corner you use most and position yourself to minimize travel distance.
- Try to keep a water can full while you finish a row to avoid idle waiting.

Crop Variety
Eight different crops are available, each with its own visual design and attributes. Players may plant any combination across the field, allowing mixed strategies.
Each crop’s unique attributes mean the choice of crops can shape your farming strategy and how quickly upgrades can be purchased.
- Mix fast‑growing crops with high‑value ones to keep cash flow steady.
- Notice each crop’s appearance to avoid harvesting the wrong type during hectic moments.

Multiplayer Structure
Up to sixteen players can join a single room, sharing the same farm space. Cooperation or competition emerges as each participant works toward the collective escape goal.
The game uses Photon Networking and the Photon Cloud for online connections, enabling friends or public strangers to occupy the same plot simultaneously.
- Communicate which corner you are using for refills to avoid bottlenecks.
- Stagger planting times with teammates to keep the field evenly populated.

Threats and Creatures
The farm is visited by various dangerous creatures, each hunting in a unique way. Appearances are unpredictable, so patterns cannot be fully relied upon.
Staying alert and learning each creature’s behaviour is essential; a sudden encounter can pose a threat at any time.
- Listen for audio cues that signal an approaching creature.
- Watch movement patterns to identify safe zones during an encounter.

Progression and Upgrades
Money earned from harvests unlocks upgrades that let players manage larger farms. Larger fields provide more planting space and higher potential earnings.
Harvest funds are ultimately used to escape the farm, so managing upgrades and earnings feeds into that final goal.
- Prioritise upgrades that increase field size early for more planting room.
- Balance upgrade costs with immediate survival needs such as water management.
