About Crossout

Crossout is a post‑apocalyptic MMO where players design armored vehicles from a vast selection of parts, then battle on land and in the sky. The game emphasizes creative freedom, an advanced damage system, and a player‑driven economy that includes crafting, trading, and auctions.

Set fifteen years after a mysterious disease called Crossout devastated humanity, survivors form factions and fight both each other and robotic Ravagers. Survival and victory in multiplayer battles are the core goals.

01 / THE GUIDE

Vehicle Creation

Players assemble vehicles using dozens of parts, ranging from buggies and tracked rovers to antigravitational platforms and aircraft. The system allows millions of possible combinations, letting each design be unique. The workshop lets you craft new parts and list them on the in‑game marketplace, where other players can purchase them.

  • Experiment with different chassis to see how weight affects maneuverability.
  • Check the marketplace for rare parts that can give a tactical edge.

02 / THE GUIDE

Advanced Damage Model

Crossout’s damage system lets you destroy any component of an enemy machine, instantly affecting its performance. This encourages targeting specific systems rather than just total destruction. Because each part contributes to overall function, losing a weapon or engine can change how a vehicle behaves mid‑battle.

  • Aim for critical components like engines to cripple opponents quickly.
  • Protect your own vital parts with extra armor.

03 / THE GUIDE

Weapon Arsenal

The game offers a huge arsenal, from chainsaws and drills to missile launchers, drones, and invisibility modules. Players can equip vehicles with any mix that fits their strategy. Weapon choice directly influences combat style, whether you prefer close‑range melee or long‑range bombardment.

  • Combine short‑range weapons with mobility for hit‑and‑run tactics.
  • Use long‑range missiles to control space and force opponents to maneuver.

04 / THE GUIDE

Multiplayer Modes

Crossout supports solo play, clan participation, battles, and tournaments. All modes focus on PvP combat, with options for co‑op engagements as well. Victory is determined by survival and achieving the battle’s objectives, with no single‑player campaign described.

  • Join a clan to coordinate vehicle builds and tactics.
  • Practice in smaller battles before entering tournaments.

05 / THE GUIDE

Linking Steam and Gaijin Accounts

When launching via Steam, you can link a Gaijin account by entering email and password, then confirming the link. Failure to link initially prevents future linking. If you miss the first‑time link, avoid market actions and contact support for assistance.

  • Link accounts at first launch to retain full feature access.
  • If you need to link later, refrain from market activity until support helps.
