About Crimson Moon
Gildenarch, once a holy jewel, has fallen to demons, undead, vampires and Hellgrowth abominations. Humanity’s last hope lies with the Order of the Crimson Moon, which summons a Nephilim – a human‑angel hybrid – to confront the darkness.
Players can fight alone or with friends in online co‑op, using visceral melee, supernatural powers and angelic transformations. Between missions the Church serves as a sanctuary for upgrades, NPC interaction and War Table planning, while dynamic difficulty scaling matches each run to the player’s skill.

Story and Setting
The city of Gildenarch is overrun by demons, undead, vampires and Hellgrowth abominations, establishing a bleak backdrop for the campaign. The Order of the Crimson Moon calls upon a Nephilim, a human‑angel hybrid, as humanity’s most feared weapon against the encroaching evil.
Each mission advances the prophecy, moving the Nephilim closer to confronting the Dead Gods that dominate the ruined city. The narrative frames every encounter as a step toward reclaiming Gildenarch and ending the demonic invasion.

Combat System
Blood‑soaked melee combat lets players strike hordes of abominations with relentless, visceral attacks. Supernatural powers and angelic transformations augment these strikes, granting temporary abilities that can deliver devastating damage during intense encounters.
Boss encounters require timing of powers and transformations, as the combination of melee and supernatural attacks determines survivability against the Dead Gods and other high‑level threats.
- Combine melee swings with power bursts to stagger larger foes.
- Watch enemy attack patterns to trigger transformations at optimal moments.

Co‑op Play
Players may crusade solo or slay together in online co‑op, with full controller support available on Windows. Co‑op is optional and does not affect story completion, but teammates can share missions and coordinate attacks.
Dynamic difficulty scaling applies to co‑op runs as well, ensuring that missions adapt to the combined skill level of the group while preserving the high‑risk, high‑reward structure.
- Communicate power usage with teammates to maximize burst damage.
- Synchronize melee attacks to avoid overlapping damage on the same enemy.

Sanctuary and Upgrades
Between runs, the Church functions as a home base where players can upgrade weapons, interact with NPCs, and access the War Table. The War Table links mission selection to the sanctuary environment, allowing strategic planning.
Successful missions and skill achievements unlock evolving Nephilim powers, granting temporary abilities that become available for use in subsequent runs.
- Upgrade weapons that complement your preferred melee or power style.
- Talk to each NPC to discover optional upgrade paths.

Difficulty Scaling
Dynamic difficulty scaling matches each mission to the player’s current skill, offering a challenge level that reflects performance. Players can manually set their desired difficulty before launching a mission.
Choosing a higher difficulty introduces tougher enemy modifiers, while the scaling system ensures the mission remains attainable based on the selected level.
