About Creatures Docking Station
Creatures Docking Station lets you hatch and raise virtual pets called Norns. These small creatures think, feel hunger, pain, fear and boredom, and they can talk to you and each other, acting independently within the simulation.
The game provides a self‑contained world of four large rooms filled with food sources, toys, plants and animals that form a working ecosystem. You can hatch any number of Norns from seven breeds and expand the experience with fan‑made rooms, toys or breeds.

Norn Biology
Norns are described as “endearing little creatures who grow, learn and behave just like real living animals.” Their internal systems include hunger, pain, fear and boredom, and they display real feelings such as those emotions.
Each Norn possesses digital DNA that determines its personality and traits, and they can converse with you and with each other, giving the impression of autonomous life.
- Observe how different needs trigger distinct behaviours before adding more Norns.
- Note personality cues to anticipate traits that may appear in offspring.

World Layout
The Docking Station world consists of four large rooms that together form a fully self‑contained environment. Within these rooms you’ll find food sources, toys and a variety of plants and animals that interact in a working eco‑system.
All essential items for raising and training Norn families are included, meaning you do not need external resources to start a new hatchery.
- Explore each room to locate where specific resources appear.
- Plan toy placement based on where Norns tend to gather.

Breeds and Digital DNA
Players can hatch Norns from seven distinct breeds at any time, and each creature carries digital DNA that can be passed to offspring. This system allows traits to be inherited across generations, since Norns can pass characteristics on to their offspring.
Because DNA is digital, inheritance is based on each creature's digital DNA, so you can observe how traits pass between ancestors and offspring.
- Mix breeds deliberately to experiment with trait combinations.
- Track DNA traits across generations for clearer breeding outcomes.

Ecosystem Interaction
The Docking Station includes plants and animals that form a working ecosystem. Norns interact with these elements, affecting and being affected by the environment. Food sources and toys are part of this system, influencing Norn needs and behavior.
Observing emergent behavior—how Norns respond to changes in the ecosystem—provides insight into the simulation’s depth and realism.
- Observe how Norns respond to the plants already in the ecosystem.
- Monitor how toys alter Norn activity patterns.

Fan‑Created Expansions
Beyond the base game, players can expand their experience with fan‑created additions such as new rooms, toys or breeds. These community contributions expand the existing world, offering fresh content alongside the base game.
The game’s design encourages experimentation, allowing you to test how new items affect Norn behavior and ecosystem balance.
- Try a single fan‑made room before adding multiple to gauge impact.
- Read community notes on how new toys affect Norn moods.
