About Corsair Cove
Corsair Cove drops you onto a deserted island after a shipwreck, tasking you with building a pirate haven from the ground up. You can place structures on cliffs, hills and flat ground, linking them with bridges, ziplines and other contraptions to move goods across the rugged terrain.
The game mixes city‑building, production‑chain management and turn‑based naval combat. As you expand, you must keep pirates fed and equipped, fend off Crown hunters, raid nearby islands for scarce resources, and pursue four development tracks—Notoriety, Empire, Seafaring and Wealth.
01 / THE GUIDE
Unconstrained Building
Corsair Cove lets you construct on any surface, from sheer cliffs to narrow hilltops, without a preset grid. This freedom pushes you to use vertical space and to connect distant points with bridges, ziplines and other contraptions.
Because flat land is scarce, efficient use of every inch—horizontal or vertical—is essential for expanding housing, workshops, piers and defensive forts while keeping transport routes short.
- Begin with a central hub and radiate bridges outward to maintain short travel distances.
- Use zipline shortcuts for high‑traffic goods to reduce crossing time over chasms.
02 / THE GUIDE
Complex Production Chains
Over 50 different goods can be manufactured, ranging from basic hard tack to spyglasses, cannons and jewelry. Raw materials such as iron, copper, lumber and fiber must be gathered from distant deposits and moved to factories.
Finished items travel to distribution hubs, then to ships or crew. Efficient logistics across cliffs can be the difference between a thriving settlement and a starving population.
- Group related factories near each other to shorten internal transport loops.
- Place storage close to bridges to keep supplies flowing during expansion.

03 / THE GUIDE
Crew Equipment Needs
Your population includes drifters, builders, fetchers and specialists, each with distinct equipment demands. Basic pirates need food, booze and simple gear; elite crews require spyglasses, medicine, sabers and luxury items like tobacco.
If these equipment needs are ignored for too long, pirates will abandon the cause, leaving you without manpower for construction or combat.
- Monitor stockpiles of high‑value items and keep a surplus to avoid shortages.
- Assign specialists to nearby production buildings to cut delivery distances.
04 / THE GUIDE
Turn‑Based Ship Battles
When you intercept enemy vessels, combat switches to a turn‑based system where ship type, crew composition and captain choice influence the outcome. Successful engagements yield loot and weaken Crown pressure.
Defensive gun towers and fortifications can also fire on approaching ships, providing a static line of defense when your fleet is away.
- Equip ships with crew members whose skills match the intended combat role.
- Keep a reserve of cannonballs and black powder near forts for continuous fire.

Four Development Tracks
Quests let you advance along Notoriety, Empire, Seafaring and Wealth. Each track unlocks new buildings, production recipes and more powerful ships, letting you tailor growth to your preferred priorities.
Progress is optional and paced by the player, so you can focus on building a massive harbor, a powerful fleet, or a wealthy trade network before tackling the next challenge.
- Pick one track early and follow its unlocks to avoid spreading resources too thin.
- Combine Entertainment Guildhall boosts with zipline upgrades for faster productivity.
