About COLLAPSE COMPANY
Collapse Company is a co‑op horror roguelite action FPS that sends players on repeated expeditions into underground dungeons. Each round generates a new layout, and the team must locate the Particle Accelerator Reactor at the deepest level, activate it, and escape before a timer expires.
During each run players explore, collect scattered items, manage an inventory, and confront varied enemies and environmental hazards. Collected resources can be sold for currency, which carries over between runs to purchase equipment for future expeditions. The loop continues until the squad fails to escape or is eliminated.

Procedurally Generated Dungeons
Every round creates a fresh arrangement of corridors, rooms, and item placements, meaning routes and challenges differ each expedition. This randomness prevents reliance on memorised shortcuts and forces players to adapt navigation strategies on the fly.
Because the dungeon’s structure changes each time, map knowledge must be rebuilt for each run. The constant variation adds replay value and keeps tension high as players cannot predict exact layouts.
- Mark visual cues that often indicate trap locations.
- Compare successive runs to see if certain resource clusters appear frequently.

Multiple Enemy Types
The underground is populated by several enemy classes with distinct behaviours: some close in when out of sight, others ambush from walls or blind spots, and some stay hidden until the right moment. Their actions react dynamically to player movement and positioning.
Recognising each type’s trigger helps the team decide when to engage, avoid, or use the environment to their advantage, reducing unnecessary damage and preserving resources for deeper sections.
- Observe enemy movement before committing to a fight.
- Use positioning to keep line‑of‑sight enemies at a distance.

Environmental Hazards
Darkness, narrow corridors, traps, and sound‑reactive mechanisms create constant danger beyond enemy fire. Confined spaces limit manoeuvrability, while hidden traps punish careless movement.
Players must balance aggression with caution, careful navigation and steady caution to mitigate these risks while still progressing toward the reactor.
- Move slowly in unfamiliar sections to listen for audio cues.
- Prioritise clearing visible traps before pushing deeper.

Round‑Based Progression and Upgrades
After each expedition, collected materials can be sold for currency, which is then used to purchase new equipment for future runs. This post‑round loop lets teams improve loadouts and prepare for tougher dungeons.
The game has no fixed final stage; difficulty scales with each successful reactor activation, rewarding riskier play with greater loot while the overall structure continues until the team fails.
- Invest in versatile weapons that handle multiple enemy types.
- Balance spending between immediate survivability and long‑term upgrades.

Co‑op Multiplayer
Collapse Company supports single‑player and online co‑op, allowing squads to share resources, coordinate movement, and cover each other’s weaknesses. Teamwork is essential for managing inventory, handling ambushes, and meeting the evacuation timer.
Because each player’s decisions affect the group’s overall success, communication and role distribution become key factors in surviving deeper rounds and activating the reactor efficiently.
- Assign specific roles such as scout, support, and heavy to cover all threats.
- Use voice chat or quick signals to alert teammates of hidden enemies.
