About Circadian Dice

Circadian Dice thrusts you into a fight against a cosmic entity that has warped time into a looping cycle. You lead a band of heroes who have escaped this loop and now hunt the source that sustains it.

Each play session is a self‑contained scenario where six‑sided dice become weapons, wealth generators, magical conduits, or stat boosters. Any relics, abilities, or modifiers you acquire remain after the scenario ends, letting your toolkit grow toward the final goal of breaking the loop.

01 / THE GUIDE

Dice Upgrades

Dice can be reshaped into four functional categories: destructive weapons, resource generators, magic conduits, and stat‑enhancing devices. This reshaping lets you influence chance during combat, turning randomness into a strategic resource.

Upgrades are assigned semi‑randomly for each hero in each scenario, creating fresh combination possibilities. Although heroes and dice reset after a run, every upgrade, relic, ability, and modifier you unlock stays available for future scenarios.

  • Experiment with each dice category in a short scenario to see which aligns with your current relic collection.
  • Track which reshaped dice consistently produce reliable effects for the hero you are testing.

02 / THE GUIDE

Scenario Modes

The game provides 13 distinct scenarios, each offered in Normal and Hard modes. Hard mode significantly changes each scenario with new enemies, secrets, and challenges.

Scenarios are designed for quick sessions lasting roughly ten to thirty minutes and function as stand‑alone challenges. Additional end‑game content includes an endless randomized scenario and a longer campaign mode that resembles a traditional roguelike.

  • Start with Normal mode to learn enemy patterns before tackling Hard mode.
  • Use the brief scenario length to focus on mastering a single dice combo before expanding.

03 / THE GUIDE

Heroes

Ten heroes are available, each described as having unique characteristics and play styles. Their dice and health reset after each scenario, but any upgrades you have earned remain available for future scenarios.

Because each hero interacts differently with dice shapes, swapping heroes between runs lets you explore how various play styles affect combo creation and enemy handling.

  • Compare hero traits to identify which best complements your preferred dice functions.
  • Test a hero across multiple scenarios to see how its abilities influence upgrade effectiveness.

04 / THE GUIDE

Relics and Abilities

Sixty unlockable relics grant new abilities, modify stats, or provide game‑altering bonuses. Over 110 abilities can strengthen heroes, manipulate dice, or damage enemies, expanding tactical options.

Both relics and abilities persist across scenarios, allowing you to build a personalized arsenal that grows as you progress through the game’s challenges.

  • Prioritize relics that enhance the dice shapes you use most often.
  • Mix abilities to discover synergistic effects that boost your combo chains.

05 / THE GUIDE

Enemies and Bosses

The title features 66 enemies and 27 bosses, each with distinct characteristics and abilities. Most enemies can be captured inside your dice, granting bonuses and new attacks that reflect the captured foe’s traits.

Occasionally, enemies mutate randomly, which can either increase difficulty or provide advantageous effects, adding another strategic layer to each encounter.

  • Capture enemies whose abilities complement your current dice setup for immediate bonuses.
  • Watch for mutations; they may turn a tough fight into a resource gain.
