About CICADA
CICADA is a generational action‑simulation set in a Japanese summer countryside. You live the brief life of a cicada, flying over paddy fields, tall grass, streams and trees while your vitality slowly declines.
The game replaces traditional leveling with a mating mechanic: by finding a partner and reproducing, you pass traits to offspring, letting each new generation confront stronger foes and shape the season’s legacy.

Mating System
In the open field you can locate a partner and mate, which creates a next generation cicada. The offspring inherits traits described as “powerful,” allowing it to tackle challenges the previous cicada could not defeat.
Control passes to the offspring after mating, letting you test the inherited traits directly. This builds on leveling with a generational progression based on partner selection.

Vitality System
From the moment play begins, your cicada’s vitality constantly decreases. When it reaches zero, the current life ends, making every second count for exploration, combat, or mating.
