About Chronicon
Chronicon places the player in a world where the final evil has fallen, the ultimate quest is finished, and the last treasure opened. A magical device called the Chronicon opens portals into the memories of the ancient Heroes of Old, allowing a chosen few to relive those legends.
The game is divided into five large acts, each with its own storyline, and supports solo play, local split‑screen co‑op for up to four players, and Remote Play Together. Endless Mastery ranks, deep rune‑based crafting, and a pool of over 900 skills give the experience a slow start that expands into limitless progression.
01 / THE GUIDE
Story Premise
The Chronicon is described as a magical device that opens portals into the souls of the long‑dead Heroes of Old. Each year a handful of people are selected to re‑live those ancient tales, and the player assumes that role.
Because the world’s final evil is already dead, the narrative focuses on memory‑based storytelling rather than new threats. Players explore the recollections of past heroes, experiencing each act’s unique storyline through the Chronicon’s portals.
- Read dialogue cues that hint at the original hero’s motives.
- Use the early slower pace to absorb lore before tackling later acts.

Character Classes
Chronicon offers four distinct classes: Templar, Berserker, Warden, and Warlock. Each class provides its own set of skills, abilities, and perks, contributing to the game’s total of over 900 options for character development.
The extensive skill tree and infinite Mastery ranks let players customize abilities and adapt their role throughout the adventure, allowing each class to be shaped by the player’s choices.
- Try several skill combinations early to discover effective synergies.
- Match equipment with a class’s thematic strengths for better performance.

Procedurally Generated Dungeons
Every playthrough features procedurally generated dungeons and areas, ensuring each session presents a fresh layout, enemy placement, and loot distribution. Over 700 items have randomized enchants and qualities that appear within these dungeons.
This randomness, combined with endless Mastery ranks and set items, creates new challenges even after the main storyline is completed, supporting replayability through varied encounters.
- Explore each new dungeon thoroughly; random enchants may provide unexpected advantages.
- Carry a variety of gear to adapt to changing dungeon environments.

Co‑op Multiplayer
Chronicon supports local co‑op for up to four players on the same machine, requiring one Xbox 360/One controller per additional participant. Remote Play Together is fully supported, allowing friends to join online via Steam’s remote play feature.
Full controller support includes Xbox, DualShock, and DualSense options, and the game works with Steam Cloud, family sharing, and split‑screen modes, providing flexible multiplayer experiences.
- Coordinate class selections with teammates to cover a broad range of abilities.
- Use Remote Play Together for seamless online co‑op without needing separate copies.
