About Cat Lady - The Card Game

Cat Lady – The Card Game is a digital card‑drafting experience where you collect cats, food, toys, costumes and other items to build the ultimate cattery. Each turn you draft three cards from a shared pool, forming sets that grant bonuses and Victory Points.

The title offers single‑player matches against three AI difficulty levels, local split‑screen play for up to four people, and ranked games that feed a Steam leaderboard. Achievements add optional goals for players who enjoy completing specific in‑game actions.

01 / THE GUIDE

Card Drafting Mechanics

On every turn you pick three cards from the common pool, choosing among cats, food, toys, costumes and other items. The cards you collect belong to sets, and completing a set provides a unique bonus that contributes to your score.

Because all participants draft from the same pool, you must watch what opponents are taking and consider blocking key cards. This creates a strategic tension between advancing your own sets and hindering rivals.

  • Watch early picks to guess opponents' set goals.
  • Balance quick small sets with saving cards for larger combos.

02 / THE GUIDE

Artificial Intelligence Levels

Three AI difficulty levels are provided, letting you select a challenge that matches your skill. All AI opponents draft under the same rules, so you can focus on sharpening your drafting skills at whichever level you choose.

Playing against each level helps you learn set bonuses and opponent behavior without the pressure of human competition.

  • Start with the easiest AI to learn set values.
  • Keep versatile cards when facing higher AI to adapt to blocks.

Scoring and Endgame

The match ends when the deck is exhausted. Victory Points are earned by completing sets, feeding cats in your cattery, and adopting stray cats; the player with the most points wins.

Feeding all cats and adopting strays both add points, encouraging a balanced collection rather than focusing on a single category.

  • Count remaining cards to decide when to shift focus.
  • Combine feeding and adopting bonuses for a final point surge.

Local and Ranked Multiplayer

Local split‑screen multiplayer lets up to four players draft together on the same device, using the Shared/Split Screen PvP feature. This enables face‑to‑face competition without extra hardware.

Ranked play records your final score on a Steam leaderboard, allowing you to compare your performance with other players who have also played ranked matches.

  • Communicate intentions in local games to coordinate blocks.
  • Check your leaderboard position after ranked matches for improvement ideas.

Achievements and Leaderboards

Steam achievements reward specific milestones, giving optional goals beyond the main Victory Point race. These give optional short‑term goals beyond the main Victory Point race.

A Steam leaderboard tracks scores from ranked matches, providing a persistent record of high‑scoring performances across the player base.

  • Target achievements that match your usual drafting strategy.
  • Use leaderboard data to spot common high‑scoring set combos.
