About Case 03: True Cannibal Boy
Case 03: True Cannibal Boy is a horror‑mystery adventure that follows Lily, a college student whose crush Sally has vanished. The plot intertwines a suspicious boyfriend, an ominous ghost story, and the legend of a spirit called the Cannibal Boy.
The game presents its story in a 2.5D visual style, lets players investigate objects and converse with NPCs, and ends with one of three outcomes that depend on the choices made during the investigation.

2.5D Camerawork
The title states the game uses 2.5D camerawork, meaning the camera adds depth to scenes while the player moves on a two‑dimensional plane. This design aims to make exploration feel more immersive than a flat side‑scroller.
The 2.5D presentation adds depth to scenes, creating a sense of space without converting the gameplay to full 3D. The game features 2.5D camerawork for more immersive exploration.

Gathering Clues
Progress depends on investigating objects and talking with NPCs. Each interaction can reveal a fragment of the mystery surrounding Sally’s disappearance and the Cannibal Boy legend.
Clues gathered this way help piece together the story of Sally’s disappearance. No combat or resource‑management systems are described in the official facts.
- Take brief notes on each NPC’s statements.
- Review your notes on collected clues after new dialogue appears.

Three Possible Endings
The narrative branches into three distinct conclusions, each reflecting the decisions Lily makes throughout the investigation. The endings differ in Lily’s and Sally’s ultimate fate.
The game’s description ties the endings directly to player choice, indicating that the story’s resolution is shaped by the paths taken rather than a single fixed outcome.
- Consider the moral weight of each choice before confirming.
- Track which characters you trust to anticipate possible outcomes.

Adapted from TRPG Sessions
The story is substantially adapted from tabletop‑RPG sessions the developer played with friends. The original script, titled "首切り様" (Ms. Beheader) by Marikoro, was used with the author’s consent.
This background explains the game’s focus on dialogue, investigation, and multiple outcomes, mirroring typical tabletop narrative structures where player decisions drive the plot.
- Notice how dialogue choices resemble tabletop decision points.
- Compare the game’s pacing to typical TRPG sessions.
