About Can of Wormholes

Can of Wormholes is a single‑player puzzle game where you control a tiny sentient tin can through more than one hundred hand‑crafted stages. Each stage introduces a single new interaction—push, slice, ingest, flip, or squish worms—so the player learns a fresh idea each time.

The stages are linked by an interactive overworld that also contains its own puzzles. Unlimited undos, restarts, and a built‑in hint system let you experiment without pressure, while optional mini‑stages isolate the key insight for each challenge.

01 / THE GUIDE

Puzzle Design Philosophy

Every stage focuses on one new mechanic, matching the developer’s description of exploring how far interactions between simple objects can be taken.

An optional mini‑stage accompanies each main puzzle, offering a separate area that isolates the core insight without adding filler content.

  • Try the mini‑stage first to see the mechanic in isolation.
  • Notice how later puzzles reuse earlier ideas in new contexts.

Input and Accessibility

The game can be completed using only a keyboard or a gamepad on supported platforms; no mouse input, simultaneous key presses, or time‑critical actions are required.

Accessibility notes label the title as hearing‑impaired friendly and color‑blind friendly, indicating visual and auditory cues are not solely dependent on sound or color.

  • On Windows, both keyboard and gamepad work; on macOS, use the keyboard.
  • Use the unlimited undos to experiment with any control scheme.

Progress Management Features

Unlimited undos and restarts let you backtrack without penalty, encouraging trial and error.

A playable hint system provides optional assistance, and the game lists Steam Cloud support on Steam.

  • Use undos liberally to test risky moves.
  • Reserve hints for moments when you are truly stuck.

04 / THE GUIDE

Overworld Structure

An interactive overworld connects all puzzle stages, acting as a hub that also contains its own set of puzzles.

Because the overworld itself is a puzzle space, it reinforces the game’s theme of interconnected interactions.

  • Explore overworld puzzles early; they may introduce mechanics used later.
  • Treat overworld challenges as practice for the main stages.

Steam Achievements and Sharing

The title includes Steam Achievements, offering optional goals beyond the puzzles themselves.

Family Sharing is supported, allowing the game to be played by multiple accounts on the same device without extra purchase.

  • Check the achievement list to set personal milestones.
  • Use Family Sharing to let friends try the game without buying another copy.
