About Bus Simulator 18
Bus Simulator 18 puts you behind the wheel of eight licensed city buses as you drive through twelve districts that include industrial zones, a harbour, downtown, villages and a business park. The map covers about 5.8 mi² of freely drivable roads with day, night and weather changes.
You can run routes in single‑player or join up to three friends in real‑time multiplayer. The game also offers a progression system, route and staff management, and extensive Steam‑Workshop mod support for custom buses, routes and maps.

Licensed Buses
Eight city buses are modelled after real manufacturers: Mercedes‑Benz Citaro K and G, MAN Lion’s City (standard and CNG articulated), SETRA S 416 LE and S 418 LE, and IVECO Urbanway (standard and CNG articulated). Each cockpit reproduces the brand’s layout and sound.
Every bus can be customised with colours, patterns, advertising panels and a licence‑plate generator, letting you change the visual appearance while keeping the authentic manufacturer details.
- Experiment with different liveries to see how each visual style looks on the road.
- Compare handling between a standard and an articulated model on the same short route.

Real‑Time Multiplayer
Up to three friends can join a shared session, each driving their own bus across the twelve districts and the 5.8 mi² of drivable roads. All players experience the same traffic, weather and incidents.
Both simplified and realistic driving modes are available, allowing newcomers and experienced players to choose the level of simulation they prefer while playing together.
- Assign each player a distinct route to reduce on‑road congestion.
- Watch how other players handle traffic jams and adjust your timing accordingly.

Progression and Management
The progression system records earnings, reputation and statistics, encouraging long‑term play. Money earned can be used to purchase new buses or sell older ones, expanding your fleet.
Management tools include route planning and staff planning, giving you control over operational decisions and providing numerous statistics.
- Check earnings after each shift to identify the most profitable routes.
- Review reputation changes after incidents to see how they affect income.

Full controller support includes compatibility with popular steering wheels, gamepads, Tobii eye tracking and TrackIR devices, letting you choose the input method that feels most natural for bus operation.
Authentic bus sounds and detailed cockpits are paired with these peripherals, enhancing immersion during day, night and adverse weather conditions.
- Test a steering wheel and a gamepad on the same short route to compare comfort.
- If you have Tobii eye tracking, try it on a night‑driving segment to gauge immersion.
