About Brigandine The Legend of Runersia
Brigandine: The Legend of Runersia lets you choose one of six nations, each with its own ruler, knights, and monsters, and strive to unify a continent split into more than forty bases. The game blends strategic organization with turn-based combat on hex-grid maps, letting you shape tactics through unit skills, terrain, and elemental effects.
Play progresses through seasonal cycles, and as you expand your forces with classes, equipment, and items, rival nations also grow and may attack your holdings. After completing the main story, additional challenge and creative modes become available, offering further ways to test and showcase your armies.
01 / THE GUIDE
Runersia’s Nations and Forces
Runersia hosts six major powers, each controlling a number of bases, knights, and monsters. The official description cites more than 40 bases, 100 knights, and 50 monster types across the continent. Selecting a ruler determines the ideology-linked Brigandine you will wield.
These nations continuously develop alongside your own army, meaning enemy bases can be assaulted while you expand. The game tracks the growth of all factions as the campaign unfolds.
- Focus early recruitment on a balanced mix of knights and monsters to handle varied enemy types.
- Monitor enemy base activity; pre-emptive strikes can prevent them from strengthening.

Organization and Attack Phases
Each season on Runersia is split into an Organization Phase and an Attack Phase. During organization you arrange knights and monsters into troops, assigning classes, equipment, and items.
When the Attack Phase begins, those troops engage in turn-based battles. The seasonal loop repeats, letting you refine strategies and expand your forces over time.
- Use the Organization Phase to experiment with different class combinations before committing to attacks.
- Save valuable items for the Attack Phase when you anticipate tougher opponents.

Hexagonal Turn-Based Combat
Combat occurs on a hex-grid map where each unit’s position influences terrain advantages and enclosure effects. Units act according to their skills and elemental affinities, allowing layered tactics.
Victory depends on leveraging these factors—positioning, skill timing, and terrain—rather than raw numbers alone, encouraging thoughtful planning for each encounter.
- Place units on advantageous terrain before initiating attacks to boost their effectiveness.
- Chain unit skills that complement each other to maximize enclosure bonuses.

Alternate Chapter Challenge
Clearing the main campaign unlocks the Alternate Chapter, a challenge mode that adds new replay value. In this mode you select ten epic heroes—one ruler and nine knights—and push toward conquering everything.
The mode presents tougher objectives and different victory conditions, encouraging players to revisit the continent with fresh constraints.
- Choose heroes whose abilities complement each other to cover a broader range of enemy tactics.
- Prioritize upgrading equipment early to meet the heightened difficulty.

Creative Mode Construction
Creative Mode lets you assemble an army from knights and monsters that have accompanied you on past campaigns. You can then craft and carry out custom battle strategies without the pressure of story progression.
This sandbox experience is useful for testing unit synergies, experimenting with terrain tricks, or simply enjoying epic battles on your own terms.
- Reuse successful troop compositions from the main campaign to see how they perform in unrestricted scenarios.
- Experiment with unconventional unit pairings to discover hidden strengths.
