About BOMBANANA!
BOMBANANA! is a three‑player co‑op game where each monkey has a different sensory limitation: blind, mute, or deaf. Players must combine their unique perspectives to defuse a bomb before it explodes. The game offers three modes—campaign, endless, and custom—each presenting increasingly difficult bomb‑defusal puzzles in varied environments.
Communication is unrestricted; players may use gestures, voice, or any method they devise. Success depends on teamwork, while failure results in a dramatic explosion and a test of friendship. The title runs on Windows and macOS and supports full controller, keyboard, and mouse input.

Asymmetric Roles
Each monkey experiences the bomb differently: the Blind Monkey can touch but not see colors or read screens; the Mute Monkey can read the manual but cannot speak; the Deaf Monkey can see the bomb and teammates but cannot hear. This design forces players to share information constantly.
The game does not prescribe a specific communication method, allowing teams to develop their own signals, gestures, or voice chat strategies. The varied perceptions create both humor and tension as players scramble to coordinate.
- Assign a clear leader who summarizes information for the group.
- Use simple, repeatable gestures to convey urgent actions.

Game Modes
BOMBANANA! includes three distinct modes. Campaign offers 30 handcrafted levels that grow harder. Endless generates wave‑based levels that increase in difficulty indefinitely. Custom lets players set bomb difficulty, timer, module types, hazards, and allowed mistakes.
These modes let groups choose a structured experience, an infinite challenge, or a tailored session that matches their skill level and preferred chaos.
- Start with Campaign to learn each role’s limits.
- Use Custom mode to practice specific modules before a full run.

Environmental Hazards
Bombs can appear in varied settings such as a minivan or a plane, each introducing hazards like power outages, obstructions, or loud interruptions. These events add extra pressure and require players to adapt their communication.
Hazards are not limited to visual or auditory cues; they may affect the bomb’s visibility or the ability to hear, further emphasizing the need for coordinated gestures and clear signaling.
- Practice quick visual checks when power outages occur.
- Develop a silent signal for when loud interruptions happen.

Customization Options
In Custom mode, players can adjust bomb difficulty, timer length, module types, environmental hazards, and the number of allowed mistakes. This flexibility lets groups fine‑tune the challenge to their comfort or desired intensity.
Adjusting these parameters also changes how much information each monkey must convey, allowing teams to experiment with different communication loads and strategies.
- Reduce allowed mistakes while learning new modules.
- Increase timer length for a relaxed first playthrough.

Accessibility Features
The game includes a Color Blind Mode that adapts UI colors for two types of color blindness, ensuring the blind monkey’s lack of sight does not rely on color cues. Full controller, keyboard, and mouse support are provided, and the game can be played without timed input.
These options make the game approachable for a wide range of players and allow teams to choose their preferred input method without affecting core gameplay.
- Enable Color Blind Mode if any player struggles with UI colors.
- Choose controller input for a shared, tactile experience.
