About Bloons Monkey City
Bloons Monkey City blends city‑building with tower‑defense. Players develop a settlement, capture adjacent bloon‑infested tiles by winning short defense matches, and expand the city’s layout. Buildings serve many roles—monkey towers fight, farms and banks boost the economy, power structures increase strength, epic buildings grant special powers, and decorations improve appearance.
All 21 Bloons TD 5 towers appear with new unlock rules, and over 130 buildings and decorations let players craft varied strategies. The game offers 55 new defense maps, 13 special missions, and 11 special items hidden in treasure tiles. Social features let friends exchange supply crates, visit each other’s cities, and compete in weekly Contested Territory events.
01 / THE GUIDE
City Expansion Mechanics
Capturing new territory requires winning a short tower‑defense round on a bloon‑infested tile next to your city. Once victorious, the tile becomes a free space where any building can be placed. Buildings can be repositioned when they are not upgrading or damaged by tapping, holding, and dragging to an open captured tile.
Each building type contributes differently: monkey towers handle combat, farms and banks grow cash flow, power structures boost overall strength, epic buildings provide unique abilities, and decorations enhance visual appeal. Expanding the city unlocks further rewards and challenges.
- Try placing farms early to build a steady cash base before adding many towers.
- Rearrange decorations after major upgrades to keep the city layout tidy.

Choosing a balanced mix of towers is essential for handling the new bloon waves and special attack patterns like Cash Starve or Fast and Furious that appear across the 55 maps and 13 special missions.
- Mix early‑game low‑cost towers with a few high‑damage options for flexibility.
- Observe which towers perform best against specific bloon patterns before upgrading.
