About Blood Typers
Blood Typers is a survival‑horror adventure that runs entirely on keyboard input. Players blast zombies, manage inventory, and explore a procedurally generated movie‑studio campus that twists into a nightmarish maze. The game supports solo play or 1‑4 player online co‑op, letting friends share resources and cover each other’s backs.
The experience blends classic horror elements—locked doors, limited inventory, and terrifying enemies—with a unique typing mechanic. Players must type commands quickly to attack, run, grab, or open, and can adjust the typing difficulty to suit beginners or typing experts. Multiple movie‑themed levels expand the world beyond the initial studio setting.

Keyboard‑Based Combat
All actions—shooting, running, grabbing, opening—are performed by typing on‑screen commands. Enemies display “Hit Words” that must be typed to deal damage, turning each encounter into a typing test. The system measures words per minute, challenging players to type fast enough to survive.
Combat occurs in three dimensions, allowing movement across the map while typing. Difficulty modes change the speed and complexity of required typing, so both casual and expert typists can find a suitable challenge.
- Practice typing common command words to improve reaction time.
- Set the difficulty mode early to match your typing comfort level.

Online Co‑op Play
Blood Typers supports 1‑4 player online co‑op, allowing friends to join a single session and survive together. Players can share inventory items, coordinate attacks on zombies, and protect each other with proximity‑based voice chat that transmits only nearby sounds.
The co‑op experience mirrors solo mechanics, adding resource sharing and strategic teamwork. Voice chat helps coordinate actions without revealing distant players’ positions.
- Use voice chat to call out enemy Hit Words for faster group responses.
- Distribute scarce items like ammunition early to avoid shortages later.

Procedurally Generated Levels
Each playthrough generates a new layout of the movie campus, ensuring that no two sessions are identical. Large, complex maps contain locked doors, hidden treasures, and multiple movie‑themed sections that expand beyond the initial studio.
Procedural generation encourages exploration and replayability, as players must constantly adapt to new room configurations and resource placements while managing limited inventory space.
- Explore each new corridor thoroughly; hidden items may appear in unexpected spots.
- Take note of door locations to plan efficient escape routes.

Adjustable Typing Difficulty
Players can set the typing challenge level to match their skill with difficulty modes. Difficulty modes let players set the level of typing challenge to their preference, so both casual typists and typing fiends can enjoy the game.
Difficulty settings adjust the level of typing challenge, letting players tailor the experience to their skill.
- Start on a lower difficulty to learn command patterns before increasing speed.
- Choose a difficulty mode that keeps you challenged without overwhelming you.
05 / THE GUIDE
Limited Inventory and Resources
Players must decide which items to carry, balancing weapons, ammunition, and consumables like food. Inventory slots are finite, forcing tough choices such as taking shotgun shells versus a sandwich. Proper management is crucial for surviving the night.
Resource scarcity adds tension to exploration; players must weigh immediate combat needs against long‑term survival, especially in co‑op where items can be shared among teammates.
- Prioritize ammunition for weapons you use most often.
- Keep a small amount of food for health recovery during long runs.
