About Blobun
Blobun follows explorer Stephanie, who becomes slime after touching a cursed amulet. Together with her girlfriend Audrey, she journeys across Mythandra seeking a witch who might lift the curse, while adapting to her new gelatinous form. The game centers on grid‑based puzzles where players must touch every tile. Obstacles such as lasers, lava, and mutable terrain require careful planning, and players can switch between elemental states to overcome different hazards.

Story and Setting
Stephanie’s transformation into slime drives the narrative, prompting a quest across the world of Mythandra. The journey is motivated by rumors of a remote‑forest witch who may reverse the curse, creating a clear goal for players.
The partnership with Audrey adds a cooperative flavor to the story, though gameplay remains single‑player. The setting provides varied environments that keep each puzzle fresh and visually distinct.
- Observe environmental cues that hint at the witch’s location for thematic immersion.
- Consider how the curse’s lore might influence puzzle design when creating custom levels.

Core Puzzle Mechanics
Each level is a grid where the objective is to touch every tile. Obstacles like lasers and lava block progress, requiring players to plot routes that avoid danger while covering all squares.
The game offers undo functionality and no time limit, allowing experimentation. Players can also skip overly difficult puzzles, needing only a certain number solved to advance.
- Use the undo feature to test risky paths without penalty.
- Plan routes that minimize backtracking to reduce the chance of missing tiles.

State Change System
Floating tokens let players switch between elemental states such as Fire, Ice, and Electric. Each state grants specific abilities, like skating on water as Ice or safely crossing lava as Fire.
A unique state stops slime trails, altering how the core objective of touching tiles is achieved and adding strategic depth to each puzzle.
- Experiment with each state early to understand its terrain interactions.
- Combine state changes with conveyor belts for efficient movement.

Custom Puzzle Editor
Blobun includes a puzzle editor available on Windows, allowing players to design their own grid challenges. The editor requires mouse and keyboard input, and custom levels can be shared via mod.io.
While the demo version cannot load community puzzles, the full game can download and play user‑created content, extending replayability beyond the built‑in worlds.
- Start with simple layouts before adding complex elements like state tokens.
- Test your custom level using the undo feature to ensure solvability.
