About Besiege
Besiege lets you design medieval‑style machines using an intuitive building system with more than 70 block types. Physics drives every component, so structures can bend, break, or crush enemies as you test them in real time.
The game offers a 55‑level single‑player campaign across four island nations, sandbox worlds, multiplayer battles, a level editor, and deep Steam Workshop integration for community‑made machines and mods.
01 / THE GUIDE
single-player campaign
The campaign features 55 destructible levels spread over four distinct island nations, each with its own environment and enemy civilization. Levels present varied obstacles that require players to build machines capable of overcoming terrain, fortifications, and opposing forces.
Progress is measured by completing each level’s objectives, which often demand creative use of the building blocks and the game’s physics simulation to succeed.
- Start each level with a simple chassis to test basic movement.
- Iterate designs after each failure to improve stability.

multiplayer modes
Besiege Multiverse connects players for head‑to‑head machine combat, cooperative puzzles, and custom game modes. Both online and LAN PvP are supported, allowing friends to race, battle, or work together against AI armies.
Matches can be tailored with specific objectives, encouraging players to adapt their creations for competitive or cooperative play while the physics engine handles collisions and destruction.
- Coordinate builds with teammates before a match.
- Balance offensive power and defensive durability in PvP.

03 / THE GUIDE
building system
The building system provides over 70 block types, including structural pieces, weapons, and propulsion components. Each block follows the same physics rules, creating realistic stress, torque, and failure points as machines move and strike.
Players can freely experiment, constructing siege engines, battering rams, ballistae, or any imaginative contraption, then test them instantly in the simulation to see how the physics respond.
- Use hinges for moving parts such as flippers or rotating weapons.
- Check balance before adding heavy components.

level editing tools
Besiege includes powerful editing tools that let users build custom environments, place AI armies, and script logic for interactive scenarios. Changes can be made in real time, supporting both solo and multiplayer experiences.
The editor’s logic system enables diverse game types such as robot wars, motor racing, or football, expanding the creative possibilities beyond the base campaign.
- Test logic scripts with a simple machine first.
- Save versions frequently while editing.
