About Berserk Mode

Berserk Mode is a first‑person, run‑based fantasy shooter that blends fast‑paced combat with rogue‑lite mechanics. Players race against a constantly draining health meter while battling through six randomly generated dungeon zones to reach a crystal at each zone’s end.

Between zones you can spend earned gold on weapons and perks, or accept curses that add random debuffs for richer gold rewards. After each run you gain experience, level up, and unlock new artifacts, beast forms, and starting‑load‑out options.

01 / THE GUIDE

Run‑Based Gameplay

Each run lasts about thirty minutes and ends permanently when the player dies. Health continuously drains, but defeating monsters restores health and fills the berserk meter, creating a constant risk‑reward loop.

Before entering each of the six zones you may purchase weapons and perks with gold, or take on a curse that applies a random debuff for a larger gold payout. Finishing a run grants experience toward leveling up.

  • Consider the gold benefit of a curse against the difficulty of its debuff before committing.
  • Use health regained from monster kills to offset the constant drain rather than relying on any other source.

02 / THE GUIDE

Beast Forms

Killing monsters fills a berserk meter; when full you can transform into a legendary beast for a limited time. The beast form lets you tear foes apart and offers customisable beast weapons.

Beast forms become available as you level up, alongside unlockable artifacts with their own special abilities.

  • Activate beast form when surrounded by multiple enemies to maximise its damage output.
  • Experiment with different beast weapons after unlocking them to see which complement your chosen class.

Curses for Gold

Curses are optional challenges that impose random debuffs in exchange for richer gold rewards. You decide whether to accept a curse before each zone, balancing risk and potential payout.

Gold earned from completed curses can be spent on weapons and perks before the next zone, allowing you to improve your load‑out for upcoming challenges.

  • Start with lighter curses to learn their effects before attempting heavier ones later in a run.
  • Combine curse rewards with strategic weapon purchases to maintain offensive strength.

Classes and Load‑out

Three playable classes—Berserker, Brigand, and Stalwart—each begin with their own special abilities. Leveling up unlocks new starting load‑out choices, artifacts, and beast forms.

Before each zone you can customise your load‑out with purchased weapons and perks, letting you tailor your approach to the random layout and any active curse.

  • Review each class’s unique abilities to align weapon choices with its strengths.
  • Swap load‑out items between runs to discover synergistic combinations.

Difficulty Settings & Zone Variety

Five unlockable “Descension” difficulty settings increase enemy challenge, while zone layouts are randomised for each run, providing fresh tactical scenarios each time you play.

Each zone’s objective remains reaching the crystal, and the health‑drain mechanic remains part of the core challenge in every zone.

  • Begin on lower difficulty to learn zone patterns before tackling higher Descension levels.
  • Use the randomised layouts to practice adaptable movement and positioning.
