About Beetleball
Beetleball is a chaotic team‑based PvP sport where beetles roll dung balls to score goals. Matches support up to twelve players in a 6v6 format, feature momentum‑based movement, and allow several balls to be in play at once.
Players can climb ranks through ranked matchmaking or enjoy casual play in custom lobbies. Progression grants experience, beetle bucks, and cosmetic beetle eggs, while cross‑platform multiplayer lets Windows, macOS, and Linux users compete together.
01 / THE GUIDE
Beetle Classes and Team Composition
Fourteen unique beetle classes each provide a distinct ability, such as the Tiger Beetle’s teleport, the Fungus Beetle’s mushroom launchpads, or the Cyborg Beetle’s laser sniper. Choosing complementary classes creates synergies that affect ball control and scoring chances.
Both ranked and unranked modes let teams experiment with different class mixes. Coordinated abilities can shape momentum plays, while opponents must adapt to varied compositions.
- Pair a mobility‑focused class with a high‑damage class to balance positioning and offense.
- Observe enemy class selections and adjust your lineup to counter their strengths.

Map Design and Gameplay
Eight distinct maps add variety beyond flat soccer fields, featuring dandelion platforms, donut ramps, cakes, and sandcastle obstacles. Terrain can be used to bounce balls, block opponents, or create shortcuts for faster travel.
Learning each map’s layout is essential; mastering bounce points and high‑ground views enables momentum plays that can swing a match.
- Explore a new map in an unranked match to learn its quirks before ranked play.
- Use elevated areas for a clearer view of ball trajectories.

Multiple Dung Balls and Golden Dungball
Matches often feature several dung balls simultaneously, adding a strategic layer beyond a single‑ball format. Players can merge balls to create a Golden Dungball, which counts as a goal when rolled into the net.
Coordinated movement and timing are required to manage multiple balls, encouraging teams to communicate about ball locations and merge opportunities.
- Focus on one ball before attempting a merge to avoid chaotic play.
- Call out ball positions to teammates when a merge becomes possible.

Leveling, Beetle Bucks, and Cosmetics
Playing matches grants experience and beetle bucks. These currencies can be spent on beetle eggs, which offer a chance at cosmetic items such as hats.
The progression loop encourages continued play by offering a steady stream of new visual options without influencing competitive balance.
- Save bucks if you prefer to spend them later on cosmetics.
- Spend your beetle bucks on beetle eggs whenever you want new cosmetics.

Cross‑Platform Multiplayer and Online Features
Beetleball supports cross‑platform multiplayer on Windows, macOS, and Linux, allowing players on different operating systems to join the same match. Ranked, unranked, and custom lobby modes are available.
Steam integration adds achievements, leaderboards, cloud saves, and family sharing, providing a consistent experience across devices.
- Use custom lobbies to practice specific class combos before ranked matches.
- Enable Steam Cloud to keep progress when switching between computers.
