About Beasts of Bermuda
Beasts of Bermuda is a multiplayer survival title where each player controls a dinosaur or other prehistoric creature. Options include flyers, swimmers, herbivores, carnivores, and semi‑aquatic forms, each filling a niche on the Bermuda islands.
The core goal is to survive, grow larger, and earn talent points while contending with other players and environmental hazards. Three game modes—Free Roam, Life Cycle, and Combat—provide different pacing, talent progression, and competitive structures.
01 / THE GUIDE
Free Roam Mode
In Free Roam you select a juvenile creature and spawn on the islands. Growth proceeds slowly, giving ample time to gather food, water, and manage ailments.
As your creature grows, talent points accumulate and can be spent to improve various capabilities. The slower growth curve makes resource management less demanding than in other modes.
- Watch how gradual growth lets you experiment with different talent allocations before facing tougher predators.
- Compare your growth speed with other players on the same map to gauge typical progression.
02 / THE GUIDE
Life Cycle Mode
Life Cycle also begins with a juvenile spawn, but growth is faster, requiring quicker decisions on food, water, and health. After reaching 1.32 growth you may enter the Gauntlet stage.
The Gauntlet raises difficulty by increasing the challenge of resource and ailment management. A monthly leaderboard ranks species by total growth, adding a competitive element.
- Track your growth percentage so you know when the Gauntlet becomes available.
- Use the leaderboard as a benchmark for how quickly you can safely progress.

03 / THE GUIDE
Combat Mode
Combat pits adult creatures against each other on smaller Deathmatch maps with close spawn points. Killing opponents grants talent points that can be stolen, fueling ongoing conflict.
The mode runs endlessly, displaying points and kill/death ratios to indicate which player currently dominates the server.
- Observe spawn locations to anticipate early engagements.
- Notice how stealing talent points can quickly shift power balances.
04 / THE GUIDE
Talent System
Across all modes, growth generates talent points that can be allocated to enhance your creature’s capabilities. Specific talent effects are not listed, but they affect performance aspects.
Talent allocation is the primary progression mechanic, allowing players to tailor their creature toward speed, strength, survivability, or other priorities.
- Experiment with different talent spreads to see which best matches your creature’s niche.
- Compare builds with other players of the same species for ideas.

Controller Support
Beasts of Bermuda lists full controller support, including DualShock and DualSense compatibility, as well as Steam Input API integration for Windows players.
Family Sharing is also listed, allowing multiple accounts to share access to the game library.
- Try both DualShock and DualSense controllers to see which feels more comfortable for your creature’s actions.
- If you use Steam Input, explore its preset configurations for a smoother experience.
