About Bearnard

Step into the paws of Bearnard, a brave bear on a quest to reclaim a legendary bow and protect his woodland home. The single‑player adventure blends platforming, physics puzzles and turn‑based card battles across forests, mines, snowy peaks, castles and dark dungeons.

Collect cards of varying rarity, combine elemental effects and use the environment—crashing chandeliers, shooting arrows at levers—to defeat foes and solve challenges. Bonus levels test precision and creativity, rewarding medals that showcase mastery without altering gameplay.

01 / THE GUIDE

Card Battle System

Combat switches to turn‑based battles where you play cards from your hand. Cards range from healing and defense to crowd‑control, and can be combined for elemental combos. Decks grow by opening special chests that contain common, rare, epic and legendary cards.

Strategic card play is essential; each choice can turn the tide against hostile creatures. Mastering the timing and synergy of cards defines your overall strategy throughout the adventure.

  • Experiment with elemental combos to discover powerful effects.
  • Balance healing and offense cards to stay resilient in longer fights.

02 / THE GUIDE

Physics‑Driven Puzzles

Levels feature puzzles that require both skill and intelligence, such as shooting an arrow at a lever to open a passage or using the bow to trigger moving platforms. The environment reacts to your actions, turning ordinary objects into tools.

You can crash chandeliers onto enemies or throw crates for crushing blows, turning the world itself into a weapon. Creative use of physics often provides the simplest solution to a challenge.

  • Look for objects that can be moved or dropped onto foes.
  • Use the bow to interact with levers and platforms for hidden routes.

Biome Exploration

Bearnard travels through diverse terrains—forests, mines, snowy mountains, castles and dark dungeons—each presenting unique obstacles and enemies. Hand‑crafted levels capture the essence of each environment, offering distinct visual and gameplay flavors.

Every biome contains its own set of challenges, encouraging players to adapt their platforming and combat tactics to the surroundings they encounter.

  • Observe each biome’s layout to anticipate enemy types.
  • Take time to explore for hidden chests that expand your deck.

Bonus Levels & Medals

Special bonus levels test precision, creativity and quick thinking. Completing these challenges awards gold, silver or bronze medals, which serve as a testament to player mastery. Medals do not affect core gameplay but showcase achievement.

These optional stages provide a focused arena for honing platforming skills and strategic card use without altering the main adventure’s progression.

  • Practice timing in bonus levels to improve medal rankings.
  • Use familiar card combos to handle unexpected enemy patterns.

Companion: Blue the Owl

Bearnard’s sidekick, Blue, is a vibrant owl who assists by fetching unreachable items and delivering essential cards. Blue’s presence adds a layer of assistance during platforming and puzzle sections.

The owl’s interventions are woven into the narrative, providing both functional help and moments of humor throughout the journey.

  • Watch for Blue’s cues when a platform seems out of reach.
  • Utilize delivered cards strategically during tough battles.
