About Banana Kingdom

Banana Kingdom is a retro‑style turn‑based strategy simulation that mixes simple rules with enough depth to keep veteran players engaged. Each turn you produce units, move them, and expand territory while pursuing one of several victory conditions.

The game supports up to five factions on nearly a thousand preset maps and includes a full map editor for limitless custom battles. Color‑blind support, split‑screen PvP, and keyboard, mouse, or controller input let anyone join the fight.

01 / THE GUIDE

Victory Conditions

A match ends when a faction meets the specific goal set for the map. Options include Annihilation (unit count reaches zero), losing the home castle, capturing the Golden Banana, defeating the Banana King, or securing the Statue of the Banana God and returning its Golden Banana Troopers to the castle.

Because each map defines its own condition, players must read the objective before the first turn and shape their production, movement, and capture priorities around that goal.

  • Check the map’s listed victory condition early to allocate resources appropriately.
  • Balance offensive pushes with defensive holds on key facilities that support your chosen win type.

02 / THE GUIDE

Commanders

Commanders act as avatars that issue orders and each possesses a distinct skill. The skill gauge fills over time, and when full the commander can unleash a powerful effect that may turn the tide of battle.

Since the skill’s impact varies by commander, selecting one whose ability matches the map’s objective can provide a decisive advantage at a critical moment.

  • Watch the skill gauge and plan a decisive move when it fills.
  • Choose a commander whose skill complements the map’s victory condition.

03 / THE GUIDE

Map Editor

The built‑in editor lets players design capture or annihilation‑only maps using tools such as rectangle drawing, fill, and symmetry functions. Random biome generation creates natural‑looking terrain with a single click, and fully upgraded facilities can be placed from the start.

Created maps are saved as files, can be shared via the community hub, your homepage, or social media, and data from the demo carries over to the full version, encouraging continual creativity.

  • Use mirror‑copy to quickly produce balanced, symmetric maps for fair PvP.
  • Test a map in both capture and annihilation modes to ensure it works as intended.

04 / THE GUIDE

Bases & Facilities

Bases generate Capital each turn, which can be spent on unit production or upgrades. Villages earn Capital and heal units, Forts produce units and replenish infantry for free, Farms heal and can produce Banana Troopers when upgraded, and Wish Crystals grant one of seven wishes on capture.

Deciding whether to invest Capital in producing more units or upgrading existing bases is a core tactical decision that shapes the flow of each battle.

  • Pull weakened units back to a Fort for free infantry replenishment.
  • Capture Villages early to secure a steady Capital income.

05 / THE GUIDE

Units

A unit consists of four crew members, allowing mixed compositions such as “1 Knight, 3 Fighter.” Defeating enemy units levels them up and improves stats. Crew types range from weak Militia to powerful Knights, Scouts, Mages, and specialized aquatic or air units. Banana Troopers are the weakest crew and reset to level 0 when defeated.

The Falconer crew deals double damage to airborne crews such as airships, dragons, and angels, making it a strong counter to aerial threats.

  • Combine ranged and melee crews to cover each other's weaknesses.
  • Deploy Falconer units against enemy airships for maximum damage.
