Gunvolt is an Adept who wields lightning and moves through stages at high speed, using his Flashfield to clear enemies. The Enhanced edition adds additional Skills that expand his offensive options beyond the original arsenal.
These new Skills let players vary attack patterns while preserving the fast‑paced platforming core, giving more tactical choices when confronting the Sumeragi Group’s forces.

- Watch enemy movement to decide which Skill best matches each encounter.

Copen – Dash, Bullit Dash and Homing Laser
In Azure Striker Gunvolt 2, Copen becomes a playable character. He uses a dash that tackles and locks onto foes before firing a homing laser barrage, creating a distinct combat rhythm.
Copen also has an aerial Bullit Dash that lets him glide through the sky, delivering damage from above and providing alternative routes through stages.
- Experiment with Bullit Dash to reach platforms that are otherwise inaccessible.
- Observe how the homing laser tracks enemies to plan positioning before dashing.

Kirin – Swap Mechanic and Arc Chain
Azure Striker Gunvolt 3 introduces Kirin, who can swap places with Gunvolt to handle obstacles that suit her abilities. Her Arc Chain teleports her instantly, delivering rapid melee strikes.
Gunvolt’s tag and electrify style is also upgraded, adding dashes through enemies, teleportation, and new Voltaic Arts that complement Kirin’s speed.
- Use the swap mechanic when one character’s ability can finish an enemy group more efficiently.
- Time Kirin’s Arc Chain to hit multiple foes before switching back to Gunvolt.
