About Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game

Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game lets players bend Water, Earth, Fire, and Air in hand‑drawn 2D battles. Twelve fighters from the Avatar universe each have a unique style, and the game offers both offline and online play. The title includes Story, Arcade, Training, and an Art Gallery, plus ranked and casual multiplayer modes. Simple controls let newcomers start quickly, while deeper systems like Flow, Energy Points, and Super Arts reward technical skill.

Game Modes

The game provides a Story Mode that follows an original narrative created by the series’ writers, followed by character‑specific Arcade runs with unique storylines. Both modes are single‑player experiences.

Multiplayer includes Offline Versus, Online Versus with rollback netcode, Ranked Play, and a Beginner’s Zone for new players. Open lobbies can host up to 16 participants and support spectating.

  • Try the Beginner’s Zone first to learn basic combos before entering Ranked Play.
  • Use Spectator Mode to watch high‑level matches and pick up timing cues.

Training Mode

Training Mode supplies hitboxes, frame data, save states, and other advanced tools to help players of any skill level refine techniques. Auto combos and tutorials are also included for rapid onboarding.

Replay Takeover lets you load a saved match and control a fighter from any point, allowing practice of specific situations without restarting the whole round.

  • Activate hitbox display to see the exact range of attacks.
  • Save a state after a successful combo and replay it to internalise timing.

Support Characters

Each main fighter can be paired with one of three support characters. These allies grant unique abilities that modify strengths and open new strategic options during a match.

Experimenting with different support‑fighter pairings lets you discover combinations that complement your preferred bending style, whether you favour pressure or mobility.

  • Select a support that adds defensive utilities if you play a high‑risk bender.
  • Swap supports between practice sessions to compare their impact on combo windows.

04 / THE GUIDE

Flow and Energy Points

Flow is used for dashing, evading, and repositioning, giving fighters high‑speed mobility. Successful actions generate Energy Points, which can be spent on enhanced specials and cinematic Super Arts.

Super Arts are powerful cinematic moves that can shift the momentum of a fight when Energy Points are sufficient.

  • Build Energy Points early by landing light attacks and evading.
  • Reserve Energy for a Super Art when you have a clear opening.

Online Play Features

Online matches use rollback netcode and support cross‑play across platforms, aiming for a smooth competitive experience regardless of opponent location.

The game includes a Spectator Mode with live replay, allowing viewers to watch matches while waiting for their turn.

  • Enable cross‑play to find matches faster during off‑peak hours.
  • Watch top‑ranked players in Spectator Mode to learn positioning.
