About Auridia

Auridia is a metroidvania focused on fluid platforming, secret hunting, and piecing together ancient lore. Players swing with a grappling hook, bounce off spikes, and chain moves while managing a limited stamina pool.

The world is divided into nine interconnected regions, each filled with hidden passages and artifacts. A map records everything seen, and a historian guides the narrative through over thirty lore fragments, influencing one of several possible endings.

01 / THE GUIDE

Unlockable Movement Abilities

Six distinct movement abilities become available as you progress, adding new ways to traverse obstacles such as grappling hooks and other traversal moves. Each ability expands the set of routes you can take through the environment.

Because stamina is limited, timing each ability matters; you must plan sequences that allow you to reach hidden areas without exhausting your stamina before the next upgrade point.

  • Try a less‑used ability on a familiar obstacle; it may reveal an alternate path.
  • Watch your stamina and think carefully about when to use each ability before attempting long combos.

02 / THE GUIDE

Interconnected Regions

The game world consists of nine regions that link together, allowing you to back‑track once new abilities are earned. Each region contains its own set of secrets and environmental clues.

A map shows exactly what your character has seen, making it easier to locate passages you missed the first time and to plan routes between regions.

  • Revisit a region after unlocking a new ability; many obstacles have alternate solutions.
  • Mark areas that appear blocked on the map—there is often another way around.

03 / THE GUIDE

Artifact Research System

Over thirty artifacts are scattered throughout the ruins, each providing a fragment of Auridian lore. Collecting them feeds a research system that gradually reveals the ancient civilization’s history.

The historian reacts to the artifacts you find, prompting you to consider the broader narrative and influencing which ending you receive.

  • Read each artifact’s description; clues often hint at nearby hidden passages.
  • Compare similar artifacts to piece together larger story threads.

04 / THE GUIDE

Stamina Shrines

More than fifty shrines are hidden across the world; interacting with them upgrades your stamina pool. A larger pool lets you chain longer sequences of moves without pause.

Shrines reward exploration with a tangible gameplay benefit.

  • Locate shrines early to give yourself breathing room for later puzzles.
  • Mark shrine locations on the map so you don’t miss any upgrades.

05 / THE GUIDE

Multiple Endings

Several endings are available, reflecting how much of the Auridian history you have learned and the decisions you make about the civilization’s fate.

The game encourages thorough exploration; the more artifacts you collect, the richer the concluding narrative becomes, though the exact ending is tied to overall understanding rather than specific artifact presentation.

  • Aim to collect every artifact if you want the most complete ending narrative.
  • Revisit earlier areas after major discoveries; new context can change your choices.

    QUICK ANSWERS

    Auridia FAQ

Is there any combat in Auridia?

Combat appears only in a minimal form; the description says it is “almost none,” so the game focuses on platforming and exploration.

How long does a typical playthrough take?

Auridia can be completed in roughly three to six hours, depending on how thoroughly you explore and collect artifacts.

What determines which ending I receive?

Endings depend on how much of the lore you have learned and the decisions you make about the civilization’s fate, not on presenting specific artifacts.
