About Atomicrops

Atomicrops drops you into a twin‑stick, bullet‑hell roguelite where farming and fighting collide under a nuclear glow. Each day you sow fast‑growing crops, harvest for profit, and spend earnings on weapons and items before nightfall.

As seasons turn, difficulty ramps, bosses appear, and permanent upgrades become available. New characters, spouses, cats, and seasonal shops expand the loop until the final Nuclear Winter season.

01 / THE GUIDE

Farming Mechanics

Each day you plant fast‑growing crops and must harvest them before night to generate profit. The money earned is the primary resource for buying weapons, items, and permanent upgrades at the end of the day.

Seasonal shops appear after each season, offering special rewards that can further boost farming efficiency. Crops therefore serve both as income and as a means to access higher‑tier gear.

  • Plant high‑yield crops early to maximize profit before nightfall.
  • Check the seasonal shop promptly to secure unique items for upcoming challenges.

02 / THE GUIDE

Combat System

Combat uses twin‑stick, bullet‑hell mechanics with a blunderbuss and other purchasable weapons. Nightly attackers target your crops, forcing you to defend the farm until sunrise.

Each season ends with a boss fight, and exploring the biomes can uncover powerful loot that improves both farming and fighting capabilities.

  • Upgrade your weapon early in a run to handle increasing attacker numbers.
  • Observe enemy patterns to survive longer during bullet‑hell waves.

03 / THE GUIDE

Seasonal Progression

The game advances through multiple seasons, each raising difficulty and introducing new bosses. At the end of each season, a special shop appears with unique items and rewards.

The final season, called Nuclear Winter, presents the toughest challenges and serves as the ultimate test of your accumulated upgrades.

  • Plan upgrades with the next season’s difficulty in mind.
  • Reserve some profit for the final season’s shop to ensure strong gear.

04 / THE GUIDE

Companions and Marriage

You can befriend pig, chicken, and cow companions that automate farming tasks, reducing manual work. Cats can also be unlocked to roam the homestead permanently.

Wooing and marrying a townsperson adds a partner who fights and farms alongside you, expanding your combat and agricultural capacity.

  • Choose a spouse whose combat style complements your weapon choice.
  • Use animal companions to free time for planting and upgrading.

05 / THE GUIDE

Permanent Upgrades

Each run awards a payout that can be spent on permanent improvements affecting both farming efficiency and combat strength. These upgrades persist across future runs.

Unlockable content includes new characters, difficulties, and additional permanent upgrades, expanding the game's depth over time.

  • Invest in upgrades that boost both income and combat to maintain balance.
  • Track which permanent upgrades give the best return for your playstyle.
