About Astronomics

Astronomics puts you in charge of asteroid mining operations that are both temporary and procedurally generated. Each passing asteroid offers a fresh puzzle of resources, infrastructure limits, and a ticking clock before it drifts out of range.

You pilot a Freighter, land a Shuttle, build extraction rigs, and dispatch Workerbots to haul material. Automate the workflow, fend off pirates, and sell your haul for credits, all while completing contracts that inch you toward a Residency Permit on Earth.

01 / THE GUIDE

Procedural Asteroids

Every asteroid that enters your claim is generated on the fly, presenting unique resources, properties, and challenges. You must assess each body quickly to decide what infrastructure fits before it moves out of range.

The ever‑changing environment forces you to adapt your mining strategy each expedition, turning every haul into a distinct operational puzzle.

  • Scout the asteroid early to identify high‑value veins before committing large builds.
  • Compare the asteroid’s size and resource density to gauge how much you can realistically extract.

02 / THE GUIDE

Workerbot Logistics

Workerbots are the primary means of moving extracted material across the asteroid’s surface. You can command them directly or set up automated routes to keep the flow steady.

As your operation expands, you’ll rely more on automation, reducing the need for manual transport and freeing time for other tasks before the asteroid departs.

  • Place transport hubs near extraction points to shorten travel distances.
  • Balance the number of Workerbots with available power to avoid bottlenecks.

03 / THE GUIDE

Pirate Threats

Pirates may attempt to steal your equipment and harvested resources while you are busy mining. Defending your rigs and transport lines is essential to protect your earnings.

Combat is not the focus; instead, you must plan defensive placements and possibly prioritize defending critical infrastructure during high‑risk periods.

  • Prioritize defenses for high‑value extraction sites.
  • Monitor pirate activity patterns to time your most valuable hauls during quieter windows.

04 / THE GUIDE

Contracts and Earnings

The belt offers a variety of contracts, from data collection to equipment manufacturing. Completing these jobs rewards credits that can be used to upgrade your Freighter and mining gear.

Contracts provide both a financial goal and a narrative drive, encouraging you to explore different asteroid types and expand your operational capabilities.

  • Select contracts that match the resources available on the current asteroid for higher efficiency.
  • Track which contract types yield the best return on investment for future planning.

05 / THE GUIDE

Single‑Player Experience

Astronomics is designed for solo play, allowing you to focus on personal strategy without multiplayer pressure. All systems, from mining to automation, are accessible within a single-player framework.

The game also supports family sharing, letting multiple accounts on the same device experience the same content without additional purchases.

  • Experiment with different automation setups without concern for other players’ actions.
  • Use family sharing to let a friend try the game through your library and compare strategies.

    QUICK ANSWERS

    Astronomics FAQ

How does the asteroid’s movement affect my mining operation?

Each asteroid stays within your claim only temporarily; you must finish extraction and transport before it moves out of range, since the asteroid will soon move out of range.

What role do Workerbots play in the game?

Workerbots handle material transport across the asteroid, and can be commanded directly or set to automated routes to streamline logistics.

Can I earn credits without completing contracts?

Credits are primarily earned by selling harvested resources, but contracts provide additional payouts and can accelerate equipment upgrades.
