About ASKA
ASKA lets you build and manage a Viking settlement where every structure, from homes to fortifications, serves a purpose. You direct NPC villagers, assign jobs, and watch their daily routines unfold as they work, craft, hunt, and fight together.
Play alone or with up to three friends in online co‑op, explore procedurally generated lands, battle legendary creatures, and survive a dynamic weather system that brings harsh winters and the Blood Moon.
01 / THE GUIDE
Village Construction
Design every part of your settlement—homes, workshops, altars, and defensive walls—using the game’s endless customization options. Each building contributes to overall functionality, allowing you to expand the village as needs grow.
Functional furniture, dyes, and decorative items let you personalize structures while maintaining their purpose. Adding new buildings creates space for specialized activities that support resource gathering and combat preparation.
- Start with basic shelter and food‑production buildings to meet immediate needs.
- Add defensive walls near resource‑rich zones to protect gathering parties.

Villager Management
Command intelligent NPC villagers, assigning roles that match their individual perks. Villagers have daily schedules that include work, food, water, and rest, which you must monitor to keep productivity high.
Training villagers in specific skills—such as blacksmithing for tools or hunting for food—enhances the tribe’s overall capability and prepares the settlement for external threats.
- Match villagers’ strongest perks to the most needed jobs.
- Regularly check food and water supplies to avoid shortages.

Co‑op Play
ASKA supports solo or online co‑op for up to four players. Friends can join your settlement, sharing construction duties, resource gathering, and combat responsibilities in real time.
Full controller support, including DualShock and DualSense, lets each player use their preferred device while collaborating on village growth and survival strategies.
- Assign each player a distinct focus—building, combat, or scouting—to reduce overlap.
- Communicate upcoming threats so the group can ready defenses together.

Seasonal Survival
A realistic, dynamic weather system cycles through seasons, shifting survival priorities. Winters bring freezing temperatures that can endanger villagers, while the Blood Moon introduces dark forces that must be countered.
Preparing runestones and stockpiling resources before harsh periods helps the tribe endure the cold and the mystical threats that appear during seasonal changes.
- Gather extra food and firewood before the first winter.
- Build runestones early to boost village resilience.

Mythical Combat
Engage in skill‑based combat against a variety of legendary creatures that roam the procedurally generated world. Battles rely on timing and positioning, rewarding precise play.
Defeating these foes yields materials that can be used in crafting, directly supporting the settlement’s growth and defensive capabilities.
- Observe enemy patterns to improve dodge timing.
- Focus on positioning to avoid unnecessary damage.
