About Arthurian Legends
Set before Camelot, Arthurian Legends drops players into a mythic Albion where magic once thrived but was outlawed by King Uther. A spreading darkness brings famine, disease, and invading Saxons, some aided by exiled mages of the Old Religion.
The lone hero travels through dark forests, forts, swamps, frozen caverns and crypts, confronting Saxons, demonic beasts, undead knights and more. Hidden runes, ancient relics and secret areas provide extra combat options and lore.

Story and Setting
The narrative follows a solitary champion in a kingdom where Uther Pendragon has declared magic the "Old Religion" and banished its practice. Crops fail, waters foul, and the land suffers under Saxon raids that may be aided by exiled mages.
The journey spans varied terrain—from haunted forests to icy caverns—each reflecting the kingdom’s decline and the lingering presence of forbidden magic. Environmental shifts signal new challenges and reinforce the story’s tone of desperation.

Chapters and Environments
The game is divided into three chapters, each introducing new locales such as dark forests, forts, swamps, frozen wilderness and cryptic caves. These settings provide distinct visual and combat challenges that evolve as the story advances.
Progression through chapters unlocks access to increasingly treacherous areas, encouraging exploration of each environment’s unique hazards and opportunities for hidden items.

Weapons and Magic Runes
Players can wield over ten distinct weapons, ranging from swords and shields to spiked clubs. Magic runes add fireballs, freezing blasts, lightning storms and other effects to your arsenal alongside the weapons.
Combat is described as gruesome, allowing head‑cuts, explosions and elemental damage to dispatch Saxons, skeletons, demonic beasts and possessed knights. Runes offer several elemental ways to dispatch enemies.
- Experiment with different runes to see which elemental effect best counters a foe.
- Observe enemy reactions; some explode when set on fire while others shatter when frozen.

Secrets and Relics
Hidden areas throughout the world contain items, magical runes and ancient relics that enhance the player’s abilities. These secret locations often require careful exploration of off‑path routes or unusual terrain features.
Discovering relics can provide significant advantages in both the main story and optional challenges, rewarding players who take the time to investigate every nook.
- Search for subtle visual cues—odd wall textures or hidden pathways—that may lead to secret rooms.
- Compare relic effects to decide which best complements your current weapon and rune setup.
