About ARC SEED
ARC SEED lets you pick a pilot and one of three mechs, then upgrade the mech’s systems, weapons, and a deck of equipment cards while confronting alien Angels that arrive in seed pods. You also manage a city, buying artillery, turrets and other combat assets that can be carried on the mech.
The game mixes mech combat with city‑defense building, allowing you to push, pull and crush structures to block or damage incoming Archangels. It is a single‑player roguelike with multiple modes, Steam achievements, Steam Cloud and partial controller support on Windows.
01 / THE GUIDE
Pilot and Mech Selection
At the start you choose a pilot and one of three available mechs. This choice sets the initial systems and weapons that you will later upgrade during a run.
Because the chosen mech can carry city‑built artillery and turrets, the selection influences how much external firepower you can bring into combat.
- Try each mech in separate runs to see how its base systems affect early encounters.
- Observe how the pilot’s dialogue hints at different tactical approaches.
02 / THE GUIDE
Mech Equipment and Deck Management
You can upgrade the mech’s systems and weapons, and you manage a deck of equipment cards that affect combat actions and city‑defense options.
Deck composition is applied during a run, letting you adapt to the increasing difficulty of Archangel waves.
- Experiment with different card mixes to discover which combos handle varied Angel attacks.
- Replace weaker cards with newly acquired ones as the run progresses.

03 / THE GUIDE
City Fortress Construction
You can purchase artillery, turrets and other combat assets for the city, and these assets can be loaded onto your mech for use in battle.
When buildings are evacuated they become empty structures that you can push, pull or crush to affect Angel movement.
- Allocate funding to a mix of artillery and turrets to create both static fire zones and mobile support.
- Use evacuated buildings as obstacles to shape enemy paths.
04 / THE GUIDE
Angel Threat and Destruction Mechanics
Angels arrive in seed pods from interstellar space, presenting waves of enemies that you must survive using mech weapons, deck cards and city structures.
Buildings can be pushed, pulled, or crushed, allowing you to block attacks, create choke points, or damage Angels directly.
- Position structures to funnel Angels into narrow areas before crushing them.
- Combine deck cards with building manipulation for layered defensive tactics.
05 / THE GUIDE
Roguelike Replayability
ARC SEED is described as a roguelike, meaning each run generates new challenges, deck options and city‑defense layouts.
Multiple game modes are offered, providing varied enemy compositions and strategic opportunities across runs.
- Try different game modes to see how enemy patterns change.
- Track which deck cards performed well in each mode for future planning.
