About Apocalypter
Apocalypter drops you into a savage post‑apocalyptic wasteland where your vehicle is both transport and fortress. You scavenge, trade, and fight to survive, hunting warlords and attaching their trophies to your car.
The game features an open, procedurally generated world with day/night cycles, a deep car‑customisation system, melee and ranged combat, and a variety of factions and bosses. You can also grow food, butcher meat, and upgrade your character with gear like armor and flashlights.

Car Customisation
Every car part can be installed on any vehicle without preset limits, letting you swap engines, suspensions, radiators, and cosmetic items such as steering wheels and seats. The part adjuster tool lets you move and rotate components like the engine or exhaust to suit your design.
Additional storage is possible by adding roof racks, crates, and boxes, turning your car into a mobile base for supplies and farming equipment.
- Experiment with part placement to balance performance and storage.
- Use the part adjuster tool to fit oversized components without sacrificing space.

Combat System
Apocalypter offers a range of melee and ranged weapons, each with distinct stats and calibers. Enemies also wield weapons and may drop ammo, weapons, or healing items upon defeat. You can equip body armor, bandages, or first‑aid kits for added survivability.
Boss fights and varied enemy types, including mutants, add challenge, while you can attach warlord trophies to your car as a visual record of victories.
- Carry a mix of melee and ranged weapons to adapt to enemy variety.
- Prioritise armor upgrades before tackling tougher bosses.

Survival Mechanics
Food sources range from bugs and dogfood to mystery meats, and you can grow crops like weed, tobacco, and maggot farms on your vehicle. Butchering animals and mutants provides meat for cooking, expanding your sustenance options.
Portable farming equipment and storage upgrades let your car function as a moving base, supporting longer excursions without returning to settlements.
- Diversify food sources to avoid reliance on a single type.
- Utilise portable farms early to reduce the need for frequent scavenging.

Exploration & Trading
The infinite, procedurally generated world is navigated with a compass and landmarks, while roads offer easier routes that may sometimes lead nowhere. Discover abandoned buildings, wrecks, caves, faction camps, and bases.
Traders sell randomized items for rusted nuts, the in‑game currency, and will also buy loot you no longer need, creating a simple buy‑sell loop.
- Mark landmarks to avoid getting lost on dead‑end roads.
- Sell excess loot to traders for rusted nuts before inventory fills.

Platform Features
Apocalypter runs on Windows with Steam achievements, cloud saves, and family sharing. It supports partial controller input for driving, while also offering a keyboard‑only option and custom volume controls.
The demo version is a reduced build with a single car, one boss, and only one save slot, distinct from the full release.
- Use the keyboard‑only option if you prefer precise control over driving.
- Enable Steam Cloud to keep your progress safe across installations.
