About Ancient Dungeon
Ancient Dungeon VR is a fast‑paced roguelite built exclusively for virtual reality. Players swing swords, grab loot, and explore rooms filled with traps, secrets, and monsters, using tracked hand movements for combat and interaction.
Each run reshapes the dungeon, delivering new monsters, loot, and secret rooms. The game supports online co‑op for up to four players, with cross‑play between Quest native and the upcoming PSVR2, and records permanent progress such as weapons and relics.
01 / THE GUIDE
Procedurally Generated Dungeons
Every adventure rebuilds the dungeon layout, guaranteeing that no two runs look the same. New monsters, loot, and secret rooms appear each time you start a run, creating fresh exploration opportunities.
As you continue playing, additional floors and mini‑encounters become available, expanding the variety of challenges without altering the core generation principle.
- Take note of recurring architectural cues; they often hint at hidden pathways.
- Explore each new room thoroughly to discover secret areas that may not be obvious at first glance.

Physics‑Based VR Combat
Combat relies on real‑hand movements: you can slash, block, throw, and dodge using tracked controllers, and the physics engine registers each swing for a tactile experience.
Beyond fighting, the system lets you interact with the environment, such as cutting down plants, adding a playful physical layer to exploration.
- Maintain a comfortable swing arc to reduce arm fatigue during longer encounters.
- Use dodging to create distance before engaging tougher enemies.

Online Multiplayer Co‑op
Up to four players can join an online session, sharing loot, reviving each other, or allowing teammates to take risks while you collect rewards.
Cross‑play is supported between Quest native and the upcoming PSVR2, enabling mixed‑platform groups to explore the same dungeon together.
- Communicate loot priorities before entering a boss room to avoid confusion.
- Assign one player to monitor teammate health for timely revives.

Relics and Build Variety
Special items called Relics grant new powers or stat changes, allowing you to shape builds such as glass‑cannon, tanky swordsman, or cursed variants.
Relics persist across runs, influencing combat and exploration strategies in future dungeons.
- Experiment with contrasting relics to see how offensive and defensive effects combine.
- Record which relics feel most comfortable with your preferred weapon style.
05 / THE GUIDE
Permanent Unlocks & Progression
Each run contributes to a permanent progression system that unlocks new weapons, floors, relics, upgrades, and a hard mode, expanding long‑term content.
The Bestiary, Item Compendium, and Lore Entries track monster kills, stats, and trophies, providing a record of your achievements.
- Review the Bestiary to identify enemies you encounter most often.
- Check the Item Compendium after each run to see which relics you have collected.
