About Airtone
Airtone is a VR‑only rhythm adventure that places you alongside Neon in a vibrant virtual world. Players use tracked hand controllers to hit flying markers in time with the music, creating a dance‑like arcade experience.
The game offers 25 genre‑spanning tracks, three difficulty tiers, and a story that unfolds as you collect Rhythm. Progress unlocks new songs and room decorations, while a replay feature lets you review your own performances.
01 / THE GUIDE
Gameplay Mechanics
Airtone’s core loop has players matching hand controllers to three marker types—smash, trigger, and press‑and‑hold—as they descend down lanes. Timing each hit to the beat drives the rhythm experience.
The VR environment reacts to successful hits, reinforcing the musical flow and advancing the narrative with Neon’s guidance.
- Observe the visual cues for each marker type to improve timing.
- Compare early and later tracks to notice how marker patterns evolve.

Difficulty Levels
Airtone provides three difficulty settings: Basic, Advanced, and Extreme. The three levels cater to both newcomers and rhythm veterans.
Choosing a higher difficulty increases the challenge of hitting smash, trigger, and press‑and‑hold markers accurately.
- Start on Basic to learn marker patterns before moving up.
- Switch between difficulties on the same track to gauge improvement.

Replay Functionality
Airtone includes a replay feature that lets players revisit their own performances. This tool is useful for analyzing timing and improving future runs.
The replay function lets you go back and rewatch your own playthroughs.
- Use replays to spot recurring timing errors.
