About Age of Mythology: Retold
Age of Mythology: Retold reimagines the classic real‑time strategy formula with a mythic setting where Greek, Norse, Egyptian and Atlantean gods vie for dominance. Players build settlements, summon divine powers and command legendary monsters across fifty campaign missions that travel from Troy to Midgard and the Egyptian deserts.
The title adds cooperative and competitive multiplayer, an all‑new Arena of the Gods mode, and a level editor. It supports partial controller input, adjustable difficulty, cross‑platform online play and a range of accessibility options, allowing both solo and group experiences.

Campaign Structure
The base game delivers fifty missions that move the player through distinct mythic regions, including the walls of Troy, the frozen wastes of Midgard and the shifting sands of Egypt. Each mission follows a narrative that lets you command units tied to the selected pantheon.
Two expansions broaden the story: Immortal Pillars introduces a Chinese pantheon with its own campaign, while Heavenly Spear adds a Japanese pantheon featuring yokai and samurai. Both expansions are sold separately or bundled in the Premium edition.
- Complete the base campaign before adding expansion missions to become familiar with each pantheon's core units.
- Use the level editor to recreate a favorite mission layout for practice.
