About ACRES

Acres is a minimalist farming simulation where you tend soil, plant seeds, and harvest crops to satisfy market orders. Each order specifies a crop type and quantity, and fulfilling it before the ticket expires generates cash based on the crop’s value and speed of delivery.

The game adds simple automation through tractor upgrades, lets you purchase more land, and features vibrant, calming graphics. Managing soil health, weed control, and equipment costs are central to keeping the farm operating and maintaining reputation.

01 / THE GUIDE

Market Orders

Orders queue with a crop type and amount, and they sell automatically when harvested crops become available. The order’s cash value depends on the crop’s worth and how quickly you fulfill it.

If an order ages, its value gradually decreases until the ticket expires. Accumulating expired orders reduces the farm’s reputation level.

  • Watch the aging timer to prioritize orders that are close to expiring.
  • Focus on crops with higher base value when multiple orders appear.

02 / THE GUIDE

Crop Cultivation

Begin by using plow tools to turn overgrown soil into fertile ground, then plant seeds with planters. Each seed type has its own attributes and requirements.

Weed control with cultivators and soil amendment tools—adjusting water, pH, and nutrients—maintains soil vitality and prevents resource depletion, supporting continuous harvest cycles.

  • Remove weeds promptly to keep crops dominant.
  • Match soil amendments to each crop’s specific needs.

03 / THE GUIDE

Tractor Upgrades & Automation

Manual hand tools can be upgraded to automated tractor and implement versions, which process tasks faster and free you to manage other farm areas.

Better tractors and implements have higher usage costs, so you must decide when the speed gain justifies the expense.

  • Upgrade when order volume outpaces manual processing speed.
  • Weigh higher usage costs against time saved before purchasing.

04 / THE GUIDE

Visual & Atmosphere

Acres presents vibrant, minimalist graphics that create a relaxing environment, helping players unwind while they farm.

The calm aesthetic pairs with thoughtful strategy, allowing you to plan and optimize without pressure.

  • Use the serene setting to focus on long‑term planning.
  • Enjoy the visual style as a break from fast‑paced games.

05 / THE GUIDE

Progression & Unlocks

Meeting market demands lets you purchase more land and unlock additional crops and implements, adding variety to your farm.

Strategic placement options let you arrange crops to optimize soil health and growth efficiency.

  • Expand land after mastering current crop cycles.
  • Experiment with newly unlocked crops to discover profitable combos.
