About Abyss Kitchen
Abyss Kitchen is a single‑player survival action title where you control Ropp, a chef who supports a party of adventurers inside dungeons. Hunger constantly drains, so you must eat any material you encounter to stay mobile and keep the expedition moving forward.
The game blends automatic party combat with dodging stray projectiles, gathering ingredients, and cooking dishes at campfires. Cooked meals grant effects such as health recovery or attack boosts, encouraging you to judge each dungeon’s challenges and serve appropriate food.

Core Gameplay Loop
Each dungeon run requires self‑sufficiency; the hunger meter drops over time, and failing to eat can cause you to fall down from hunger, halting progress. You must collect anything edible—plants, corpses, or stray items—to keep the meter stable.
Collected material becomes ingredients that can be combined while camping. Cooking transforms these ingredients into dishes that either restore HP or increase attack power, letting you adapt to the next encounter based on the dish’s effect.
- Eat early and often to prevent the hunger meter from reaching critical levels.
- Carry a mix of low‑value scraps and higher‑value ingredients for flexible dish creation.

Combat and Monster Interaction
When the party meets a monster, combat starts automatically, freeing you to dodge stray bullets and continue gathering ingredients. Your focus shifts to positioning and timing rather than direct fighting.
Monsters create a brief gap before executing a big move; striking them during this pause can immobilize them for an extended period. After a successful gap hit, you may ask the party to perform a special move to finish the foe.
- Watch monster wind‑up animations to identify the gap window.
- Use the party’s special move immediately after immobilizing a monster for maximum effect.

Cooking and Dish Effects
Everything you collect counts as foodstuff, from plants to demon corpses. While camping, you can cook these items into dishes, turning raw material into usable benefits.
Dishes have distinct effects—some restore health, others raise attack power. You must assess the dungeon’s composition and choose recipes that best match the upcoming threats.
- Experiment with different ingredient combos to discover which dishes give the strongest buffs.
- Prioritize dishes that restore HP when you anticipate heavy damage ahead.

Story and Setting
The game opens in a starving village where adventurers repeatedly fail to return with treasure because they cannot secure food at their base. This lack of sustenance blocks further exploration.
A beast‑girl arrives and promises to harvest food directly from the dungeons, offering the villagers a chance to finally claim hidden riches. Her arrival launches Lop the cook’s adventure.
- Listen to the beast‑girl’s dialogue for hints about edible locations early in a run.
- Treat each dungeon as a test of the village’s hope for survival.
