About Abalon: Roguelike Tactics CCG
Abalon is a roguelike adventure that mixes tactical turn‑based combat with card‑strategy. Players guide Summoners through five distinct worlds—frozen peaks, deserts, woodlands, dungeons and more—searching for hidden secrets, powerful cards, and unusual allies such as mutated rabbits.
The game draws from tabletop classics like Hero Quest, Dungeons & Dragons, and Magic: The Gathering, using a D20 for event rolls. It offers single‑player, co‑op and PvP multiplayer across Windows, macOS and Linux, with full controller support and Steam integration.

World Exploration
Abalon’s map contains five worlds, each with its own characters, events and bosses. The environments range from frozen peaks to barren deserts, colorful woodlands and dingy dungeons, giving each area a unique visual theme and set of challenges.
Exploration happens in real‑time, allowing players to discover lore scrolls, shop for cards, and even attend a goblin’s birthday party. Gold collected during these activities can be spent later on equipment or cards.
- Check every corner for hidden lore scrolls; they often foreshadow upcoming events.
- Visit shops early, as gold can become scarce after several battles.

Turn‑Based Tactical Combat
When combat begins, the game switches to a turn‑based system where unit positioning matters as much as spell casting. Battles occur on arena‑style maps that include interactive terrain features.
Players can equip armor from statues mid‑fight, slam foes into spike walls, or transform a tree behind enemy lines into an allied fighter, turning the environment into a tactical asset.
- Use environmental objects like statues to boost armor during tough fights.
- Position units to take advantage of spike walls for extra damage.

Card Collection & Deckbuilding
Throughout the adventure, players can collect over 400 cards from quests, shops and world events. The deck is capped at 20 cards, so the collection can grow without limiting current builds.
Battle Mode lets you construct a deck from the cards you have discovered and bring two allied units to test your strategy against PvE foes in arena‑style encounters.
- Focus on cards that complement your Summoner’s class for smoother synergy.
- Keep the deck at or below 20 cards to stay within the game’s limit.

Summoner Classes
Each Summoner is linked to two of five classes—Arcane, Celestial, Nature, Void and Chaos—providing distinct playstyles. Chaos emphasizes fire AOE spells for big damage, while Arcane offers mind‑control abilities.
If you wish to change your playstyle mid‑adventure, you can talk to the Cosmic Tortoise at a campfire. This interaction lets you switch classes without restarting the run.
- Experiment with Chaos for high‑damage area attacks.
- Use the Cosmic Tortoise to switch classes when a challenge feels mismatched.

Multiplayer Modes
Abalon supports online co‑op, split‑screen co‑op, online PvP and split‑screen PvP, with cross‑platform play available. Steam features such as leaderboards, achievements and remote play further extend the multiplayer experience.
Shared and split‑screen options let friends join on the same device, while online modes connect players worldwide for cooperative or competitive battles.
- Enable split‑screen for quick local co‑op sessions.
- Check Steam Leaderboards to gauge your performance against others.
